ESP International is an international recruitment company specialized on the event industry with offices in London and Dubai. I was initially employed to develop their design and creative division and was quickly assigned more sectors such as Exhibitions & Conferences, Event & Exhibition Services as well as Hotels & Venues. I was made redundant with the rest of the team for the Director to streamline the business and partially manage it from the UK.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage all recruitment projects from client briefs through, research, candidate screening and assessments to final contract negotiations and on-boarding
• Market research and business development
• Implement new marketing strategies for assigned sectors
• Build strong client relationships and maintain high level of client servicing

PAE Design Talent was the leading recruitment agency for the creative and design industry in China, working with companies such as Mercedes Benz, Lenovo, BMW Design Works, Kholer to design and communication agencies such as the WPP Group, Futurebrand and IDEO just to name a few. After a year with the company in Beijing I was relocated to Shanghai to open and manage the Shanghai office. In January 2014 PAE Design Talent was unfortunately closed down since the CEO decided to leave China.

Responsibilities:

• Independently responsible for everything from setting up the office, generating new clients, marketing the company’s Shanghai presence to recruiting and training personnel and overlook the activates and results of the business unit
• Independently in charge of the PAE Design Talent Shanghai office, employees and clients
• Manage a team of 4 Recruitment Managers, Consultants and Researchers
• Recruitment: consult clients on recruitment projects, write job descriptions, review portfolios, conduct interviews, reference checks, write CV reports and consult both parties during the hiring process
• Oversee Consultant’s recruitment cycle, manage their workflow and attend all client meetings
• Together with MD, advice on general business strategies and internal KPI systems
• Staff training and development
• Manage forecast reports, contracts and invoices
• Client Services Management and Business Development
