Way back in the early century, Svetlana took a passing interest in our work (television, radio, marketing, all things media and a considerable amount of IT technology). It was transition period for her, as she moved from one unfortunate situation (not of her doing) to hopefully better times, so out of her interest, casually asked to join us in the office and studio. Without being asked Svetla (as we refer to her) studied my personal extremely heavy work flow against earnings, questioning the viability of the tasks and throughput against financial results. On divulging my assumed earnings, Svetla became very curious. This is not unusual for her, since she is a criminologist by actual trade with an incredibly astute mind and indeed memory for even the most insignificant of things that other people naturally pass over. As a result of her investigation it was found that my company had not been efficiently billing clients. Not for just one year but more than 2 years to the tune of some quarter of a million Dollars in all. The responsible person for this task had remarkably covered up her gross inefficiency which resulted in serious damage, not only our reputation but our financial sustainability. From then, I asked Svetla to join the company as Operations Manager, a post she has held since those early years. Without hesitation, Svetla has gone on to excel with her organisational and administrative skills with immense honesty and exemplary concern for all things related. Over those years, Svetla has learned much (on her own initiative), to such an extent that she is now ranked far better at creative and technical tasks that myself, the very person who initially taught her. In fact, she has managed the company in its entirety for many years now (I am retiring). The bottom line: Svetla is a determined lady when she wants to learn a particular process or solve a problem. Her intelligence is quite obvious to anyone who meets her. Be prepared to be 'admazed'.
