June 2005 to recent - Lab Executive / microbiologist in Central Laboratory, Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd
Scope of work: a) To monitor water quality control program at all 29 Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur
b) To conduct quality testing on raw water, semi treated water and treated water based on standard requirement by Ministry Of Health Malaysia Drinking Water Regulations.
c) To prepare a monthly report for Department activities and submit to management.
d) To attend meeting on Water Quality Matters organized by Ministry Of Health, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
e) As an approved signatory for microbiological analysis as well as chemical analysis of raw, semi treated and treated water.
f) To organized the Lab Technician to conducting water sampling at all Water Treatment Plant under Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd on weekly basis.
g) To ensure the implementation of ISO 17025 as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
h) To liase with Department Of Environment (DOE) on Water Treatment Plant (WTP) effluent analysis.
i) Person in charge of laboratory equipment namely Inductively Couple Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICPMS) and Ion Chromatography (IC)
j) As a key person on reviewing Departmental Manual as well as Standard Operating Procedure.
k) To conduct training to all WTPs Process Technician on Good Lab Practice and Quality Control matters.
l) Laboratory that commonly used were DR 5000 Spectrophotometer, Turbidimeter, pH meter, IC, ICPMS
m) To ensure that the laboratories at all 28 WTPs are operating optimally and are properly maintained. Activities under this scope of work are laboratory assessment, calibration/maintenance /service of lab equipment etc.
n) To provide laboratory services and supports to other departments and WTPs upon request.
o) To attend meeting with SYABAS and Department of Health on the issue of public water quality.
