The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, Student Energy and the Melbourne Centre for Cities at the University of Melbourne partnered to create the Policy Innovation Team to support energy and sustainability knowledge, policy analysis and critique, and skill building for young people around the world. As a Research Team Member, I worked closely with research team members around the world, the Global Covenant of Mayors, Student Energy and the University of Melbourne to synthesize the Global Youth Energy Outlook and develop insights that cities can use to tackle climate change.

I was selected as one of 12 young people for this role at GYEO from all across the world. The Regional Coordinators worked as a team to develop the Global Youth Energy Outlook. The RCs are a diverse group of young people from 10 global regions, with the unified goal of learning what young people want for the sustainable energy transition leading to 2030. The project was partnered and sponsored by the United Nations, Government of Canada, Sweden, Denmark, International Renewable Energy Agency, International Energy Agency, Sustainable Energy For All, Stockholm Environment Institute, Melbourne Centre for Cities, DNV and many others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Regional energy plans

The USPCAS-E is partnership between Arizona State University and two leading Pakistani universities including University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar and National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Islamabad.
