Halkar Inc. is a USA based solution provider with offices in Karachi and Islamabad. I am heading the Technology and Product Development unit based in Karachi.

As the Technology head I have achieved significant goals with resulted in profitability to our organization and comfort to its client. During my tenor with Halkar, we have done business of more than 350 million PKR and all on products and solutions that I have developed and provided.

My responsibities as Head of Product Development includes:

 Team Management.
 Project Management.
 In-house and hosted Data centre management.
 Technological enhancements
 Plan and manage work progress of the project teams.
 Recruitment and People Management.
 Technical analysis and design of platform, database schema and user interface.
 Basic system analysis, design, system architecture
 Conceptualization and materialization of Management/Marketing team’s requirements.

Helios
Helios is a consumer banking suite implemented in THE BANK OF AZAD JAMMU AND KASHMIR (a Govt owned organization). It provides all consumer banking services to our clients.

Halkar originally acquired me to design and develop this system because of my experience and thorough understanding of banking modules.

Helios now compromise most of consumer and branch banking modules developed under my supervision and is now is use in BOAJK.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Limited, formerly ABN AMRO Bank (Pakistan) Limited has one of the largest in-house software development structures in Pakistan. Here we work on cutting-edge technologies to deliver the most dynamic, robust solutions in accordance with client’s need.

My responsibilities included Project Management of both in-house and off-the-shelf applications, relationship management with business units with-in the bank, global and local teams’ coordination, vendor selection and synchronization, people management, new hiring and quality assurance.

Among others my area of expertise included in-depth knowledge of implementation and operation of Electronic Banking, Cash Management Solutions and Asset Products.

Tasks I perform in the position included
 Manage system development team, which includes mentoring, appraising and training.
 Plan and manage work progress of the project teams.
 Responsible of Recruitment process.
 Manage and resolve compliance, audit and SBP related issues.
 Coordinate with Business and Operations for solution delivery.
 Coordinate with external vendors for application implementation and integration.
 Follow the Royal Bank of Scotland software development methodology (SDM) and perform Business Area Analysis (BAA), Business System Design (BSD) and Business System Implementation (BSI) for software applications.
 Smooth implementation of all software applications.
 Internal and user testing coordination & verification of the test results.
 Conduct Post Implementation Reviews.
 Provide Internal Support to team members in their technical issues.
 Provide User Support for software applications.

ABN AMRO Bank (Later acquired by Royal Bank of Scotland) enjoyed a repute to be the most aggressive institution in Pakistan regarding Technological advancement.

I am proud of being part of team which delivered several products first time in Pakistan's financial circle. E.g. Debit Card, ATM switch between 2 or more Banks.

In addition we have an in-house built highly parameteriz
Core Banking Application which was connected to Bank's legacy system. I have worked on several modules like Payroll, HRIS, Treasury Blotters, Installment and Revolving loan modules, Teller and others.

ADC is also my primary field of expertise and during my tenor I developed and maintain all ADC channels for bank including following
