1. Conduct research on electric vehicles (EVs) and related technologies, such as Batteries, E-Drive, Transmission, Thermal Management system, BIW and power electronics.
2. Evaluate and analyze the performance and cost of EV components, systems, and manufacturing processes.
3. Develop strategies to reduce the cost of EV’s, inluding design optimization, and manufacturing process improvement i.e: Value Analysis & Value Engineering
4. Communicate research findings, cost reduction strategies, and progress to leadership and stakeholders
5. Mentor and train junior team members, as needed
6. Manage company HSE aspects and conduct audits in line with ISO 45001 standard
7. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environment (HSE) programs specifically tailored to the electric vehicles risk.
8. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards and safety concerns associated with EV disassembly, charging infrastructure, and battery handling.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices related to EV safety, including battery storage and disposal, emergency response procedures, and workplace safety.
Testing & inspection of Armored Fighting Vehicles such as ballistic protected armored crew cabin, Mine- Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), composite armored assembly & battery protections.
Coordinate with customers for factory visit & vehicle inspections. Handle inquiries and complaints.
Identifying and analyzing quality issues, and working with design and manufacturing teams to develop and implement corrective actions Develop standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for R&D Ballistic Projects or internal use
Conducting internal audits of the organization's management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, to evaluate compliance with the relevant standards and identify areas for improvement
Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health and Safety legislation and ensure that the IOSH has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and other requirements
Conduct ISO Internal Audits and ensure processes are in compliance with ISO 45001 & 9001.
Conduct drive test and documentation of vehicle performance parameters
Develop and implement QA/ QC inspection plans including First Article Inspection, In-Process and Final Product Inspection, Sampling Plans, Inspection & Acceptance criteria and Design Validation Testing for HVAC systems, Blowers, Ducts and other sheet metal components.
Produce standard designs using CAD software and create assembly prints, mechanical drawings and fabrication specifications
Internal QMS Auditor for scheduling and conducting the Audit and Management Review in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
To ensure welding quality by technical inspections and high-quality repairs.
Analyze inspection data; prepare reports highlighting the non-conforming elements and communicate recommendations to Maintenance Line Manager or manufacturing partner/ supplier
Coordinate with Maintenance Line Manager or manufacturing partner/ supplier and customers for the matters relating to quality trends, performance and preventive/corrective action
Develop all technical reports and documentation, as required
Quality and Production Management of Armored Fighting Vehicles and integration of critical military
technologies such as ballistic protected armored crew cabin, Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), composite armored assembly & battery protections.
Responsible for all plant quality issues including customer quality, supplier quality, project quality,
incoming quality, process quality and quality assurance.
Inspection of Armored Glass, Ballistic steel, HD Hinges, Suspension testing, Automobile Electricals and electronic communication system.
Develop and implement HSE policy & procedures and standards (as per the applicable laws &
regulations) to reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical and biological work hazards
Scheduling and conducting the Audit and Management Review in accordance with ISO
9001:2015, OHSAS 18001.
Used Lean Six Sigma method to improve the quality and error free process in the production process
Analyze inspection data; prepare reports highlighting the non-conforming elements and communicate recommendations to Line Manager.
Plan and coordinate production engineering processes on daily basis to produce high quality products.
•Monitoring the production activity to ensure the process is in line with the required quality by regular inspections.
•Read interpret component blue prints, technical drawings, schematics given by clients.
•Providing effective production planning & scheduling production activities of projects in accordance with client’s requirements.
•Quality inspection of components and assemblies as per the component blue print drawings of the clients, and to follow as per the Quality Plan Documents.
•Regular visits to client offices for better understanding of the products, plans, designs & procedures to be followed during production, as well as coordinating during Client visits to the Production House.
•Preparation of reports such as Daily Progress Report, Project Progress Report, Attending various Production & Quality Control related meetings.
•Prepare & approve the final inspection report and release the product to customer.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
•Led ISO 9001:2015 & OHSAS 18001 certification effort for Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring company and received the certification in first attempt
•Liaised between design, manufacturing and sales teams as contributor to development of VPAM VR7 Armoured vehicle. Ensured product quality, robust design, compliance with VPAM VR7 standards requirement.
•Incorporated Lean Six Sigma methodologies to solve a range of design and manufacturing problems
•Successfully implemented quality procedures, quality controls and trained new employees in newly opened Mahindra production plant in Jordan. (Mahindra Armored Vehicles Jordan LLC)
