• Accomplished Electrical (Computer) Engineer with an extensive background in electronics design and development and software languages.

Accomplishment
FINAL YEAR PROJECT
(3D Motion Controller for Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Machine)
"Control of a machine tool through computer program"
To create a CNC Machine that receives numerical data from processor usually computer, reads it, interprets it into bits and moves accordingly in a specified fashion given by machine operator in industry. CNC Machine has vast industrial applications, of which Automotive design industry is of most importance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To design software that takes input from user.
• To design an interface between software and electronics hardware.
• Manufactured prototype to design a mechanical model.
• Integration of software, electronics hardware and mechanical model.
SOFTWARES
• AUTOCAD is used to draw an object whose coordinates are extracted using .DXF file in AutoCAD.
• Extracted coordinates are then read by MATLAB, where the code is written to move the motors according to these extracted coordinates.
• GUI was made to control the machine movements and to give the input to the motors.
ELECTRONICS INTERFACING AND CIRCUITRY
• To interact the software, hardware and mechanical model the interfacing was done using
L297 and L298 motor driver ICs which converts the coordinates (x, y, z) into pulses which respectively moves the motors (x, y, z) over the object.
• Driver circuitry needs at input clock, enable, direction and gives at output phase and sequence
MECHANICAL MODEL
• Three stepper motor each on X, Y and Z was mounted on the screw rails
• Three limit switches were used to limit the motors into their work geometry, limit switches were used as precautionary measure for machine operator.
