executon as per standard company procedure.
Presently handling KWIDF, SCADA, Gas & Condensate as
one of the major Oil field projects in Kuwait.
➢ Some of the major items are Solar Power System, Well
Head Control Panel, Chemical Injec@on System, Valves,
FiNngs, Power & Instrument Cables, Field Instruments,
Fire & Gas Detectors, RTU, PLC & other electrical &
electronic equipments as per customer standards (KOC/
KNPC/MEW/JO).
➢ Work on multiple RFQs at a time with sharp focus on
finalizing contracts within budget & project @meline in
close coordina@on with Project & Opera@ons.
➢ Defla@on analysis & Supplier development.
➢ Weekly review mee@ng with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

•Handling procurement of all raw materials required for manufacturing of “DRY type” & “OIL-filled” transformers compliant with Kuwait’s climatic conditions
•Team management and train new joiners

Scope includes:

•Estimation / Costing preparation during tender stage
•Technical evaluation of offers in coordination with Engineering team
•Commercial negotiation & concluding best deal in terms of price and other T&Cs
•Upon order receipt, BOQ is reserved in system to work out the shortages
•Analyze stock level and pipeline Qty prior to new ordering
•Follow-up for on time delivery
•Alternate source development
•Sample arrangement for trial / prototype based on cost economics and supply credentials.
•Coordinate for third part lab testing of samples from new suppliers before bulk procurement
•Manage risk of single source & suppliers which are critical to our product
•Ensure cost advantage and on-time delivery of goods / services
•Track supplier’s performance and quality issues
•Take up with suppliers for recovery against CONQ / replacement in case of rejections
•Monitor timely booking of supplier’s bill & release of payment

Achievements:

Alternate source developed for major commodities such as Tanks, Chemicals, Cu / Al Foils, Fans, Bushings, Valves, CTC & PICC (Copper items), Instruments and Insulation items which resulted in breakthrough in our product cost optimization and helped our sales team in winning major projects

Key Result Areas:

•Develop procurement strategy including and negotiation with vendors based on cost analysis adhering to budget
•Lead the supplier selection through financial health checkup, technical / supply credentials. Conduct audit in collaboration with cross-functional teams for checking the core competency, manufacturing capability, compliance w.r.t factory act: Labor & employment, ISO / OHSAS certifications
•Request for Proposal (RFP) and negotiation process to deliver agreements of major Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical commodities for Reactors, Transformers (upto 1200KV class) and HVDC Jobs
•Collaborate with Tendering & Design Team to get the right cost at tendering/ execution stage.
•Generate the desired output within the given stipulated time frame through Lean / VSM tools
•Stakeholder reporting on monthly spend, demand forecasting, savings, Non-conformity in supplies / recovery
•Ensure competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost & on-time delivery.

Worked as a Procurement Engineer for Transformers and Site installation/ commissioning materials
