Provide effective financial leadership in finance department and gives full support to Directors and Manager in providing quality financial information which enables strategic foresight into the business. Current responsibilities include:
Financial Analysis:
Analyse Group’s financial statements to identify potential week areas and develop solutions. Perform variance analysis with budget, prior year and industry standards along with meaningful commentary. Perform general business analytics including growth initiative, pricing, promotion and product profitability. Converting raw data into clear reports and graphical analysis that provides insight and drives business decisions, like calculating KPI’s of departments, break even analysis, expense and overhead analysis. Using Power BI, Management Reporter (MS Dynamics), cubes and excel sheets to generate the above reports.
Financial Accounting and Reporting: Consolidation the financial statement of the Group in accordance with the IFRSs and coordination with Auditors (Ernst &Young) up to the finalization of audit report. Ensure timely and accurate Monthly Reporting of divisional, cost center and showroom P&L. Group’s Board Pack reporting, Statutory filing and reconciliation of intercompany accounts. Oversees the daily accounting activities and ensure the adherence to accounting standards. Responsible for Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Closing in the ERP System. Coordination with IT department for generating special reports and development in accounting systems.
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
Develop annual budgets, monthly quarterly forecast cycle for the profit and loss, Balance sheet and cashflow statements. Support in developing long term plans, CAPEX evaluation and Cash/facility utilization.
Internal Audit:
Perform financial audits of the group and ensure that appropriate process and procedures are in place to address operational and business risks to the Group. Makes recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
Taxation and Transfer Pricing:
File Tax returns of Group’s subsidiaries in UK and Qatar. Brainstorm and identify potential methods to reduce tax liability of the group. Develop and maintain Transfer pricing documents of the group in accordance with taxation laws of respective countries.

I have been associated with the firm for around 5 years in Assurance and Advisory Business services (AABS) and during my association with the firm my responsibilities included the following:
Audit planning and execution in accordance with International Standards on Auditing and the EY Global Audit Methodology.
Business and audit risk identification and mitigating factors covering such risks.
Identification of internal control weaknesses and making appropriate recommendations to the management.
Ensuring compliance with applicable corporate laws and regulations.
Preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable Financial Reporting Standards and Companies Ordinance, 1984.
Co-ordination with professionals of various fields like legal, actuarial and IT experts for discussing matters relating to the financial statements.
