Working as a Senior Drilling Engineer (Head of Drilling Division) in Islamabad area office with following responsibilities: Accountable for safely delivering drilling well projects within approved schedule & budget. Preparing well plans and optimizing well design. Procuring fit for purpose drilling equipment and securing rig & allied services to ensure smooth field operation. Preparing well AFE and budget. Implementing project management tools to improve project planning. Defending team's recommendations on tenders, proposals, procedures & plans. Responsible for providing necessary support to drilling operations field team and joint venture partners.
Led office-based drilling engineering team and supported drilling manager in managing operations & drilling
engineering related business in operated and non-operated blocks in Pakistan.
• Preparation of AFE & cost estimation for all wells.
• Tendering, Bids’ Evaluation, preparing contracts for drilling & allied services and equipment. Accordingly
checking and verifying relevant invoices.
• Preparation of Drilling Programs in coordination with exploration, petroleum & reservoir departments.
• Supervised well operations including major jobs like casing / cementing operations, well head installations, bit
selection and directional drilling.
• Conversant with SAP and Landmark’s drilling software.
Worked on HT / HP High DLSwells.
• Hands on experience of drilling multi-lateral and extended reach (ERD) offshore horizontal wells.
• Platform Batch drilling with RasGas Qatar offshore.
• Worked on different profiles i.e. 3D-S shape, 3D-J shape, medium to short radius kick-offs, Blind kick-offs via
cement plug, Correction runs.
• Provided well collision avoidance calculations as required by the client.
• Worked in difficult drilling conditions i.e. MOL, OGDCL in North Area of Pakistan.
• Whipstock orientation for casing exit.
• Slim hole well construction in reservoirsection.
• Worked with Vertitrak, TruTrak an automated system for drilling vertical wells.
• Awarded INTEQ core value recognition “PERFORMANCE” on successful sidetrack and completing the high DLS
section in the target range with better penetration rate as compared to the competitors.
• Clients - Qatar Petroleum, RasGas - Qatar, ENI - Pakistan, OGDCL, Pakistan, MOL - Pakistan.
