Managed emergency and rapid response projects in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR). Managed COVID-19 pandemic response projects which focused on in-country laboratory capacity assessment. Worked on establishment and building the capacity of Rapid Response teams (RRTs) and FETPs and contact tracing. Currently overseeing Polio and Routine Immunization program, along with a Mass Drug Distribution, meningitis, surveillance, biosafety & biosecurity, and Infection Prevention and Control programs. I also worked on establishment of project management systems at the Country Offices in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan and Libya. Currently, I am the focal point for fund raising and resource mobilization of the African continent.
Worked on Education, Social Cohesion (conflict resolution & peace building), Child Protection, Mental Health & Psycho-social Support, Livelihood &income generating, and women empowerment programs between the hostand refugee communities in Jordan. War Child is child centered organization, my role was to build the capacity of staff and mainstream Child Protection, Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), Prevention of Sexual Exploitationand Abuse (PSEA), and SPHERE standards into existing programs, organizational policies and the terms of all War Child Canada staff, consultants and volunteers. Panel middle-east representor at the UnitedNation Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women conference / August2019.
Responsible for managing the team of 36 employees, coordination ofassistance and services at the refugee camp level. This entails buildingeffective partnerships with stakeholders, refugees, humanitarian partners, and government authorities. The project was supporting the refugees to develop self-governance structures. The chair of the Community MobilizationWorking Group and the Community Based Initiatives working group, Co-Chair SGBV/CP Working Group and the Youth Task Force - at Zaatari, Cybercity, and KAP camps. IRD representative at the Camp Management andCoordination meeting, Protection Working Group, WASH working group andEducation Working Group - Zaatari camp. Gender Focal point for the SexualGender Based Violence \ Child Protection national sub-working group (mainresponsibility is to mainstream and ensure gender is cross-cutting into all theworking groups, partners’ plans, and staff TORs).
