Primarily responsible for managing Credit risk for Saudi Arabia clients for Thomson Reuters. Some of the job responsibilities are detailed below:

• Work closely with clients, some of which are Fortune 500 Companies, and Thomson Reuters internal staff to resolve client disputes and follow through to satisfactory resolution which results in payment of invoices
• Develop and maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with all customers, where necessary to make client visits to resolve problems and promote co-operation.
• Credit risk assessment of current and potential clients based on a client’s payment behavior, financial data, information gathering from open sources and from discussion with clients and specialists.
• Handle the decision process on disconnecting customers when payments cannot be negotiated
• Ensure accounting for bad debts & provisioning comply with accounting standards
• Liaise with Financial Analysts to ensure thorough analyses of the viability of commercial propositions
• To assist with the design and production of SOX reports and Revenue provision reports for management. To assist with special projects as and when required.
• Drive results to positively impact the Company's financial performance through the
development and implementation of proactive strategies.
• Ensure that all credit control policies and procedures are complied with in Saudi Arabia
• Establish network with key finance decision makers across strategic corporate and financial institutions across the country.

Assistant Finance Manager & Credit Controller at Zohoor Alreef

Cost Accountant at Saudi Paper Converting Company

SPC is a listed producer of several consumer tissue paper products with a capacity of 50 Thousand tonnes.

• Oversaw, coordinated and liaised all cost-related matters for 5 countrywide SPC branches.
• Keep checks and balances on raw materials, spare parts and finished goods inventories.
• Investigated variances and prepared variance reports in coordination with all SPC branches.
• Prepared daily reports for Senior Management including those covering total sales, sales quantity in tons for each product category as well as selling price per ton.

Achievements:
• Conducted a full inventory count of raw materials, spare parts and finished goods and successfully eliminated discrepancies between the system and the actual, which amounted to a gain worth hundreds of thousands of riyals. Consequently, proper checks and balances were introduced in the company to ensure variances remain as minimal as possible.
