General Management:
• Managed a spend size of more than 60 Million US$. At 8% to 15% savings against Budgets.
Key Member of Qatar Business Area core team.
• Policies, Procedures & Strategy implementation in true letter & spirit within all Supply Chain areas.
• Devising the Budget & contributing in Savings through implementation of Strategies with respect to Procurement, Logistics, Inventory management & Subcontracting.
• Planning, developing and implementing "Value Chain" concepts within Supply Chain Function.
Supply Chain Management & Planning:
• Procurement : Focusing on hybrid model of procurement "Centre led Procurement Model" Approximately managing US$ 60 million(approx) spend size at Business area level per annum for material and services.
• Warehouse and Asset Management : Optimum Inventory management and ensuring Controls on Fixed Assets utilization.
• Logistics (Offshore & Inland) : Better logistical cost savings through Clearing Agents and Freight Forwarders. Over viewing Import operations in regards to Offshore procurement which includes following and updating the fiscal changes incurring in the tariffs as per Government's latest notifications etc.
• Streamlining the Cash Out flows to external customers so that "Value Chain" can be consolidated.
• To review and align Sub Contractor agreements/contracts, Work Orders with the company's prime objective ie Cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Descon Engineering Limited as Manager Commercial -Corporate & Infrastructure Project Divisions. My major responsibilities were to provide consultancy regarding SCM. The areas of expertise :
General Management:
•Policies, Procedures & Strategy formulation and implementation in true letter & spirit within all Commercial areas.
•Devising the Budget & contributing in Savings through implementation of Strategies with respect to Procurement, Logistics and Inventory management.
•Developing and implementing “Value Chain” concepts within Commercial Function.
Supply Chain Management:
•Procurement : Focusing on “Volume Consolidation Strategy” & ”Best deals” through “Best Vendors” philosophy.
•Stores and Asset Management : Optimum Inventory management and ensuring Controls on Fixed Assets utilisation.
•Logistics (Offshore & Inland) : Better logistical cost savings through Clearing Agents and Freight Forwarders.

Supply Chain Operations:
•Warehousing Area :13 DCs and 03 Hub Warehouses . More than 200000 sq feet of storage.
•Transport size : More than 25 vehicles( Company owned)
>Monitoring & Acting according to the assigned budget ie .85% of Rs 7 billion turnover.
> Catering a supply chain of more than 8000 outlets of retail and wholeseller network.
•Looking after a staff of more than 90 personnel.
Inventory Management :
•Inventory Planning and forecasting the replenishment of stocks at major Distribution centres and warehouses.
•Analysing & monitoring costs incurred due to ageing stock and slow moving inventory.
•Also keeping liaison with Manufacturing division regarding the in bound logistics and space management.
•Ensuring proper procedures to keep the inventory count in accordance with company given targets.
Transport and Warehousing Management:
•Developing standardised logistics operations procedures within the company keeping align with production/planning and sales/marketing objectives.
•Providing Logistics and Distribution solutions to Sales and Marketing divisions in regard to different Product Mixes. Which includes identification of suitable warehouses, Intermodal options for distribution.
•Managing & buying Transporters, vendors services through legal tendering or open bidding .Thus keeping them align to company’s objectives.
•Negotiating the freights /labour rates with the Transporters /Contractors time to time.
•Providing Logistical solutions which are cost efficient and better for internal as well as external customers.
•Contribute towards sales and marketing division’s turnover targets by achieving stringent timelines of distribution to regions and door to door deliveries.
•Contributing and coordinating with Sales team via better Logistics planning in bringing down Cost per unit.
•Contributing and developing company HSE policies with respect to Warehousing and Transport operations.
Served in Exel Pakistan Limited (DHL-Exel Supply Chain) as Regional Manager North. My responsibilities were :
General Management:
•Providing supply chain solutions to customers as well as management regarding multiple projects. Which includes identification of suitable warehouses, Intermodal options for distribution, transporters and contractors; advising management about the operational costs which includes Logistics and warehousing for different tasks etc.
Operations:
•Managing all the warehousing & transportation activities within Punjab/NWFP area for End to End deliveries.
•To ensure that all customers complaints / issues are responded speedily and satisfactorily with the aim of maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction through service recovery.
•Identify root cause of service failure and ensure escalation to appropriate levels for corrective and preventive measures.
•Managing Transporters, Contractors & Technical services providers lending necessary resources at the time of normal or critical delivery activities.
•Negotiating the freights /labour rates with the Transporters /Contractors etc.
•To support all the work required for acquisition of new customers and development of existing customers.
•Also to monitor WMS for inventory control and accounting.
•Administratively looking after a staff of more than 50 personnel .
