Market research for company's target industry and win as much as possible projects to generate reputation. Grow the business, hire more engineers later and expand the activity in field of engineering for oil^gas, Chemical and other industries.
As a Senior DCS Engineer my main task was to supervise the commissioning activities related to
plant control system - Yokogawa Centum VP.
Also performed the following tasks, according to YASREF project manager request
- Carried out site walk through for inspection of installed mechanical \[pumps, compressors\], instrumentation \[all types of transmitters, air filters, pneumatic lines..\] and control elements \[control valves, intelligent motion control, vibration control, FF wiring, junction boxes…\].
- Lead a group of cross disciplinary engineers \[process, instrumentation, piping…\]. Main duty was to write test procedures for units and their SIS and DCS control logics.
- Carried out additional commissioning activities - supervised commissioning of Dry air production unit, Waste gas incinerator skid and centrifuge unit.
- Participated in boiler unit commissioning and performance fiscal metering. Revised control methodology and supplied control software, actively participated in software and hardware trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Carried out occasional Central control room operator training up to their needs.
- Wrote daily report of all types of commissioning activities related to PCS.
- Participated unit superintendents and managers daily meeting to provide expertise about plant control system’s performance, outstanding and ‘to do’s….
- Provided consultation to colleagues in any aspect they requested - controls, process, instrumentation, mechanical, safety and so on…
As a Senior Systems Engineer I performed various engineering and control system design for nuclear, chemical, oil and gas and power generation industry.
Duties are included but not limited
- Being a technical responsibility for PES systems within any individual project
- Being a leader and technical authority for intermediate and junior level engineers
- Supervise project execution
- Outsource and delegate subordinates
- Control design and implementation of PES systems
- Provide monthly progress report to Operations Manager about manpower sourcing and all financial aspects of an individual project
- Supervise all site activities \[commissioning, SAT\]
- Provide on-call duty for start-up period
- Provide post implementation customer services
As Senior IE&C Engineer I performed process instrumentation design duties for one pharmaceutical project during a short term contract ( 5 weeks ).
Duties are included, but not limited:
- Prepare instrument datasheets
- Design and select the proper instrument type for the given process
- Liaise with instrumentation vendors
- Prepare RFQ documents for all type of instruments
- Prepare weekly progress report to Project Manager
As a Senior DCS Systems Engineer I carried out the following duties
- I took technical responsibility for DCS within an individual project
- Provided technical and organizational leadership to team of engineers on DCS projects I was assigned to
- Provided status report of project progress to the PM
- Was a contact point for the client on all aspects of the DCS design and implementation
- Produced or supervised production of FDS for DCS projects according to customer specification
- Produced or supervised detailed design specification for DCS projects I was assigned to
- Supervised implementation of DDS
- Produced method of statements detailing the tasks, materials and procedures required to achieve objectives on site
- Ensured, that all project tasks were completed in accordance with the project plan and reported any problem or deviation to the PM
- Carried out IFAT, FAT, SAT
- Assisted installation, commissioning and maintenance of Yokogawa equipment on site
- Provided OP/ENG trainings for customers as per their needs
I performed instrumentation engineering/instrumentation planning duties for the chemical complex.
Responsibilities:
Made initial feasibility study of complete exchange of 35 years old pneumatic field instrumentation to electronic, including control loops, indicator loops, temperature MUX and control room panel instrumentation for VCM and PVC plants
Revised and renewed safety controllers for processes for all plants
Redesigned gas monitoring system for VCM and PVC plants
Coordinated and monitored daily instrumentation maintenance tasks and procedures for all plants
Initiated new instrument orders
Maintained work orders flow daily
Created monthly and yearly instrumentation maintenance reports and work orders
As a Lead Control System Engineer I performed various engineering duties including database design, typical design, operator interface design, consulting
Responsibilities:
- Learn Emerson’s internal company organizational chart, functionalities, tasks and procedures
- Kick of meeting at customer site or office up to their need
- Create project quality control documents
- Design initial database, typicals, dynamos, operator graphics for TAQA project
- Took part in design of FDS for TAQA project
- Keep contact with subcontractor company, check their performance, revise, correct and retest any fault
- Weekly meeting with subcontractor company
- FAT and final documentation of the project
As a Lead Control System Engineer I performed process control design for PVC production plants in Middle East area.
Responsibilities:
- Study BF Goodrich PVC batch technology for GPC and Sabic-KSA- projects
- Design of basic migration procedure for GPC and Sabic PVC projects
- Design detailed recipe system
- Design and translate FR ProVox PVC batch software to Yokogawa CS3000 batch
- Supervise, guide and control subordinates who designed database, control and indicator loops, operator graphics panels, alarming, logging and other functionalities
- Regular site visit, and customer meetings as per their needs
- Kept customer training of general and detail production plant operation, general safety methodology, PVC production (GPC project only)
- Create FDS documentary
- Perform FAT/SAT, create all relevant documentaries
- Design and create sales support demo software for Sabic project

BorsodChem Rt. is one of the largest chemical factories in Hungary, producing high volume of vinyl-chloride, PVC, polyurethanes (MDI, TDI), PVC granulates, phosgene and different kind of intermediates, urea, nitrogen fertilizers and chlorinated PE.
As a process controls engineer, I designed process controls, which encompassed electrical, mechanical and industrial technologies used in capacity expansion and upgrades of the facility.
