My role is to establish solid IT infrastructure to accommodate current business expansion plans and ensure compliance levels with Technology governance and risk control policies and standards. Deployment of innovative technology solutions and maintaining efficient IT operation. Monitoring CAPEX Expenditure along with all IT related costs .implementation of disaster recovery best practices. Leading the IT operation for more than 240 users in three Cargill locations (Cairo -Alex and Dubai), manage IT expectations for four Business units (Grains and oil seeds Middle east , Cargill Sugar, Cargill sweetness and Cargill Energy in Dubai )
Key Achievements
Lead local IT integration project team in the acquisition of two Joint venture companies (Soya Bean Crushing plant & Grains Silos in Dekhela port - Alexandria) including rebuilding of all IT infrastructure, implementation of Microsoft GP 10 and Dynamic AX, deployment of corporate IT policies including data privacy and risk controls.
Implemented Cisco VOIP based infrastructure and call manager express for Cairo and Dubai offices
Restructuring of WAN communication based on MPLS and VPN connectivity to HQ
Applied ALTIRIS deployment and notification servers for Asset management
Introduced Remedy for Incident management and support logging mechanism
Deployed technology governance and risk control corporate standards
Developed a new backup strategy based on IBM System storage architecture
Introduced Mobile faxing solution to address logistics issues with trade execution team.

leading the IT operation across all Cargill locations in middle east and Africa, below is a brief description around my responsibilities and duties .
IT Operations : Managing the IT Operations in the Region to ensure a smooth and efficient flow across all locations ( Egypt - UAE - Kenya - Zambia - Zimbabwe - South Africa ), monitoring Inc. resolution times as per SLA agreements and ensure end user satisfaction. Ensure maximum utilizing of Remedy Incident management and reporting tool.
IT Infrastructure : Co-ordinate with country IT Managers to have appropriate IT infrastructure to support business current and expansion needs including change requests, End of life & migration projects for all IT infrastructure components ( communication - Hosting - Storage - Backup - cloud computing - Virtual tech. ) .
Process Documentation & Resources Management: utilize IT resources to Improve utilization of ITSB services; create spare capacity; reduce costs. Align & document business process for similar business across countries ( Crush facilities - Port discharge - grains Trading - Cotton ginneries and tea warehousing ) .
Applications Alignment: Closely look at software inventory across the region, define consolidation opportunities, where can we utilize systems cross Business Units or functions. Deploy ERP applications where necessary to increase productivity, integrate and automate processes where necessary. Finally better utilization of people and systems and ultimately drive down cost.
Technology governance and risk control (TGRC) : Implement corporate TGRC policies and standards across all locations, perform risk audit, issue scorecards to monitor compliance and perform periodical physical walkthroughs.
My objective is to study and analyze business processes, in order to maximize technology interference in media planning and advertising campaigns. Build the company’s IT infrastructure in alliance with corporate standards and policies.
My main role is to ensure proper system integration and computability through out the business in all aspects, support & maintain operational business packages as well enhance help desk support service quality and assist IT Manger in all technical related tasks and duties
