• Conduct safety investigations and Safety Inspections for technical/ operational safety incidents and accidents and process errors.
• Evaluate and provide causal and contributing factors, safety analysis and recommendations to senior management and produce comprehensive Investigation Reports to mitigate repeat occurrences, reducing costs and increasing safety.
• Participate in safety investigations performing internal safety investigations of non-routine occurrences and incidents, which include the development and verification of accident causal analysis.
• Analyze and interpret factual information gathered from investigations to be able to deduce the root causes of safety incidents and accidents.
• Identify safety recommendations to the organization in order to avoid repeated safety incidents and suggest improvements.
• Assess the severity of safety incidents to determine the extent of the company’s response to an incident.
• Compose and review safety investigation reports that will be published to the associated stakeholders within the company. These reports maybe distributed to governmental authorities and other external stakeholders.
• Maintain the safety management system database to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data entered into the database for future statistical use.
• Management of Change (MOC) and Risk Assessment of Introduction of A321 into ABY fleet.
• Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
• Safety promotion; arrangement of Safety Weeks, Safety Walk & Talk and Safety Presentations to raise staff awareness on health and safety and promote safety reporting.
• Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards.
• Carry out regular safety inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and to identify any hazard in the hangar and workshops (Paint Shop, Wheels & Brakes Shop, Battery Shop, NDT Shop).
• Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation and company procedures.
• Prepare safety strategies and develop internal policy to ensure safe workplace.
• lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety hazards/ issues and risks.
• Produce management reports, safety newsletters and safety bulletins.
• Ensure safe disposal of hazardous substances in coordination with concerned departments.
• Writing/ amendment of the Safety Management System (SMS) Manual Emergency Response Plan (ERP) Manual and ensure compliance with the current regulations/ legislations.
• Manage, plan and conduct internal and external audit, inspections and investigations by leveraging on a wide range of audit techniques to identify risks and potential issues in order to support their timely and accurate resolution. Ensure corrective/ preventive actions are implemented and effective.

• Safety Risk Management: Management of the Hazard/ Risk registers and ensure implementation of preventive/ recovery controls in order to reduce operational risk to a level that might be considered as As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP), whilst maintaining compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
• Provide training to and support the development of staff to ensure awareness of maintenance procedures and enhance safety risk awareness within the organization that meets regulatory and company requirements (i.e. Technical Safety Report (TSR) /Confidential Safety Report (CSR) Briefings).
• Ensure processes are in place to manage significant systemic changes such as: Implementation of new systems, organizations, products or services; Modifications to existing systems, products or services; Implementation of new procedures.
• Use data gained from occurrence/investigation reports, Non-conformance reports to determine below standard performance and area of concern identified by contributing factors and associated trends in SAG (Safety Action Group) for the management to ensure continuous improvement of the safety system.
• Conduct reviews, assess capabilities, and report on new aircraft, aircraft components, and facilities to ensure compliance with regulation, internal procedures and standards.
• Provide quality assurance and safety awareness and maintenance procedures training to personnel to ensure that all staff have appropriate procedures awareness and support the development and revision of maintenance procedures to meet the changing regulatory and company requirements.
• Conduct reviews and assess qualifications of all aircraft engineers and authorization holders within EYEng to ensure compliance with regulation, internal procedures and standards.
• Manage NAA approval process including initial application, approval renewal and extension processes, to ensure continuity of necessary authorizations.
• Represent the Company in industry meetings and to official regulatory boards to ensure any relevant feedback is taken into consideration and highlighted internally.
• Policies and Procedures - Implement relevant policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Day-to-Day Operations - Supervise the standard and complex day-to-day operations to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and in compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Support EYEng users in using Q-Pulse and sorting out any issue relating to the usage of such application.
• Manage improvements/ issues related to Quality & Safety in Oracle cMRO.
• Internal Quality Auditor (practice all audit activities).
• Responsible for the planning, preparation and conducting audits and inspections to meet the requirements of the Airworthiness authorities.
• Carry out internal and external audits as detailed by the Audit Manager.
• Conduct internal audits in accordance with EgyptAir M&E QA Audit Plan and MOE.
• Ensure audits are completed, recorded and findings are appropriately disseminated.
• Responsible for the follow-up of corrective actions and the verification of compliance with Airworthiness and ECAA regulations and directives.
• Ensure all duties and responsibilities as detailed in the approved Maintenance Organization Expositions; (MOE) manuals are carried out.
• Component Capability Development; preparation/ approval for Mechanical/ Avionics Workshops.
• Outstations Audits.
• Quality Manuals revision/update, i.e. MOE and TPM writing/ amendment.
• Issuance/Renewal/Withdrawal of the Certifying Staff Authorizations within the organization and monitoring the List of Certifying Staff.
• One of the core team to prepare EgyptAir M&E for EASA Part 145 approval.
• Good knowledge of maintenance regulations issued by EC (European Community) - EASA Part 145 as well as ECAA regulations.
