• Work closely with the Head, EH, to implement the goals, objectives and strategic plans for the Public Health Department in the Health Protection, mainly on Air Quality (AQ) related to public health.
• Provide support in ensuring the WHO standards in air quality guide lines.
• Responsible for providing the unit with the best and suitable equipments to implement the monitoring program.
• Responsible for the designing of the ambient and indoor air quality monitoring plans.
• Provide support and coordination with other institutes such as Ministry of Environment in AQ programs.
• Participate and support in monitoring the AQ and practices through field measurements with AQ technologists.
• Supervise the data collection, measurements, databases, and review monthly and annual AQ statistics.
• Responsible for the data analysis, evaluation and reporting.
• Responsible for calibrating the equipments and keeping the maintenance schedules.
• Provide training to my staff on the monitoring equipments.
• Represent the SCH in different workshops, conferences, meetings...etc.
• Participate in the selection, training, and evaluation of AQ technologists.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Head of EH.
• Environmental Impact Assessment studies review.
• Field and industrial Inspection and Auditing.
• Solid waste management.
• Hazardous material and waste management.
• Coastal zone management.
• Natural Protectorates Management.
• Data collection and analysis.
• Summary reporting and other required inputs relevant to planned and ongoing environmental management activities carried out by the RBO.
• Supervising the Environmental Development Department activities.
• Coordinating between the RBO and foreign donors.
• Preparing the environmental and safety inspection plan on the all industrial sectors ( oil & gas, petrochemicals, fertilizers, …….etc) to revise law (4) for 1994 (The Egyptian law for environmental protection).
• Supervise the inspection team, providing technical support to industries as needed.
• Follow up the inspected enterprises to comply the environmental regulations and law.
-Monitoring, Measuring, and Analysis of air pollutants using different Air pollution monitoring equipment ( mobile lab. For monitoring ambient air pollutants, stack gas emission analyzers, dust monitoring equipment, VOCs analyzer, noise meter, ……).
-Preparing Air monitoring plan for hot spots in Alex region (Alexandria gov. - Bahira gov. - Motrouh gov.).
-Auditing and Collecting data related to the air pollution (Fuel type, Amount, conc---etc) from all sectors of industrial enterprises and pollutants at the working environment.
-Data evaluation and calculations to the load contributed by such activities along the ambient environment by using either emission estimation techniques.
-Recommended actions are taken to minimize the pollution load in the region studied.
-Calculations of the environmental degradation regarding to air pollutants in a designed study area.
-Ensuring that all equipments are calibrated and maintained and that results reported are quality controlled and assured.
-Reporting the resulting of such analysis in an organized, realiable, and authorized manner.
-Receiving different public complains and then make the necessary inspection using different equipments.
-Training new staff .
-Apply ISO 9001 / 2000 at Air Lab.
- Monitoring, Sampling and analyzing all water bodies sources in the region of work.
- Reporting the resulting of such analysis in an organized, realiable, and authorized manner.
Sampling and analyzing (all water and wastewater analysis, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, NH3, Chlor A, Fecal, …….) the INF and the EFF of the treated wastewater of the facility.
