Coordination with construction, testing group in the preparation of test requirement of each test pack and facilitate close out of any outstanding punch items before and after pressure test.

Supervise and perform Welding Inspections, WPS and PQR for different materials and different applications. Conduct Procedure Qualification Tests to qualify the WPS as per Project requirements and to meet the requirements for client specification/ Standards.
Prepare and conduct welder/welding performance qualification Tests as per API-1104, AWS D 1.1, ASME SECTION IX and ASME B 31.3.
Familiar and experienced day to day working knowledge with different materials like Carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steel.
Leading a team of QC Inspectors, implementing the quality, construction procedure through them, monitoring the daily QA/QC and construction activities to ensure progress targets.
Prepare project documentation a high quality record for daily fabrication, welding, installation, inspections, repairs, calibration certificates, NDT test reports and welder/ welding performance reports
Prepare Quality Control documents like Non-Conformance, Preventive and Corrective actions, Quality records Control, WPS, Inspection & test Plan and other documents for construction, installation & pre commissioning activities as required by the client.

Review contract documents for each Construction Package in respect of execution requirements and procedures and advise Project Manager of any deficiency.

Verification and clearing the category “B and C” items of the punch list prior to the commissioning

To verify piping specs, line class tables, Isometric drawings, SA Standards and procedures. The Checklist is intended to aid Inspector awareness of the numerous constructability issues on projects and increase Inspection value at the start of the project.
To check Piping material specs & line classes. Cross reference materials by line class against piping specs & drawings prior to installation. Familiar with line classes & quickly reference materials.
To check Insulating gaskets and kits are shown on drawings as A) for flanged joints of dissimilar metals, insulating gaskets, stud bolt sleeves and washers such as PIKOTEK, or approved equal. Non-flanged mech. dissimilar metal joints have dielectric unions.
To ensure Procedures identify cleaning methods are applicable for every individual system category and are being followed.
To verify as a minimum, prior to installation and/or erection of pipe spools on the pipe racks and pipe supports the following is conducted: Pipes are internally cleaned by air blowing and large diameters pipes are rag cleaned when possible.
To check prefabricated pipe spools are visually inspected for cleanliness with all foreign material removed from ID.
To verify that piping ends are covered after inspection to prevent unauthorized removal of end covers before making succeeding joints.
Spool cleanliness checks prior to installation (best with mirror and natural sunlight) are identifiable as "clean".
To check the covering of pipe ends is followed without exception daily.
To verify the damaged or rejected spools and items are identified, segregated, controlled and tracked. Such items are clearly marked REJECTED to prevent inadvertent use. A quarantined area has been established.
Review of P& ID’s, Piping Plans and Isometric Drawings.
Review of Piping, Structural and Sectional Drawing.
Calculation of contractor supply material for Piping and structures.
Installation of Hanger supports and spring supports related to the jacketed Piping.
Involved in the Piping works such as preparation of Installation, Location, Elevation and Leveling, coupling alignments and alignment of Mating Flange.
Execution, Construction and installation of network of Piping and its auxiliary fitting, electrical and Instrument fitting concerned to Project at various locations.
Distribution of drawings as per daily work plan.

Directs and monitors maintenance personal regarding installation, general maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and tools. Ensure prompt response to break downs.
Responsible for review and approval of labor and over time hours assigned personnel.
Review contracts for goods and services to ensure they meet specification and are cost competitive.
Maintains department materials and spare parts needed for optimal utilization of plant equipment and process.
Support and promotes safety within department. Conduct daily safety enforcement of machine operation, related safety and work rules.
