Responsibilities: R&D and Quality Control
Accomplishments: Solid waste from the Mn3O4 plant is made usable in the ceramic industry. ● Iron oxide pigments and Ferro chemicals (water purifiers) from steel industry waste (WPL) are prepared in pilot plant. ● LCCA for oil fields is prepared in laboratory. ● Improved quality of asphalt is produced in R&D.

Products: Ceramic Insulators.
Responsibilities: QC/ QA, R&D, Process Control, Customer service & Vendor management
Accomplishments: Built up a motivated team and, through strategic R&D operations, innovated new formula for ceramic bodies and glazes. The outcome has improved the average strength of the product, and the product is qualified for the top-ranked international market. ● With instrumental and conceptualizing Q.C. tools and root cause analysis, prevented cracks and other defects, overall rejection is reduced ● By developing vendors, modifying firing cycle, and optimizing the long manufacturing process, cost of production is decreased. ● Drawings of some products are modified and some manufacturing machines are redesigned; as a result, efficiency of production is increased. ● The unit accumulated a good profit. ● The product was upgraded from 90 to 210 kN and approved by an international lab, KEMA.

Role: Section Head Products: Ceramic Insulators Responsibilities: Ceramic lab management, QC/QA, R & D, Vendor support and Customer service. Accomplishments: Associated with the R&D group of NGK-Japan, improved quality of products and rejections
●Followed-up series of laboratory and plant trials for suspension insulator product and it is upgraded up to 400 kN.

Role: HOD
Products: Potassium Silicate Glass (Electronic grade) and Manganese Oxide-Mn3O4 (soft Ferrite grade)
Responsibilities: Lab management, QC/QA, R&D, Customer Service, Process & Vendor management.
Accomplishments: Improved the life of electronic grade glass solution up to one year, which was expiring within one week of being sold ● An import substitute monopoly product, Mn3O4 (soft ferrite grade), produced from manganese ore is innovated by in-house technology in the pilot plant. I contributed as a key person to this extensive research work. The technology for producing Mn3O4 is transferred to a new plant. I have a leading role in preparing plant layout, process flow chart, erection and commissioning, balancing capacity, constructing a new lab, preparing and monitoring SOP for quality control and process control, troubleshooting processes, preparing EMS and disposal systems, qualifying and controlling vendors, meeting customers, resolving various customer complaints, recruiting manpower and providing them training. ● The product, Mn3O4 (soft ferrite grade), is qualified for the international market and sold at a good profit.
