Spearheading Environment, Health, and Safety Management System in line with ISO - 14001 and ISO - 45001 and various statutory, certification and other requirements including an annual EHS plan
Implementing methodology for the conduct of Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment, Implementation of Controls, and the Aspect - Impact Study
Reviewing / approving planning, design and modification of processes, operations or building layouts in addition to any new materials in the process
Administering Training Plans and conduct of EHS Training Programs to personnel at various levels
Conducting Audits / Inspections in all areas of the organization and suggest remedial measures to bridge the gaps arising out of the audit findings
Ensuring reporting of all Accidents / Incidents / Near Misses and lead the thorough investigation of all Accidents / Incidents / Near Misses and ensure all Corrective and Preventive Actions arising out of the investigations are implemented
Analyzing and reporting trends in Accident rates, sick leaves, scrap disposal for management review
Liaising with Statutory / Government Authorities on issues relating to Environment, Health, and Safety
Maintaining 5R/5S principles in the arena of Waste and ensure the gradual reduction of waste at all levels
Ensuring compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS), in line with EMS & OHSMS with emphasis on compliance and continuous improvements
Accountable for provision of safe and healthy workplace and activities
Compiling HSE related statistics for; heading a team of 5 staff members deployed across the company
Setting up a Safety Management System and encouraging the prompt reporting of hazards & risks
Driving the reduction of significant injuries throughout the organization
Contributing in raising management and staff awareness of safety accountabilities & responsibilities
Conducting HSE inspections & HSE meetings and ensured recommended actions were implemented
Directing & monitoring the implementation of Corporate / Project HSE Plan and gathered feedback
Developing HSE awareness through various communications- campaigns, posters, alerts & wall charts

Be responsible for maintaining a complete compilation of safety laws and regulations and for carrying out the provisions of the ACTC Safety and Health, Drug and Hazard Communication Policies, the OSHA standards and all other state and local safety requirements.
Report directly to the safety Manager and project manager.
Assist and coordinates with the Project engineer and will administer the project HSE plan.
Responsible for developing and implementing HSE project related plan.
Understand the requirements of Client and Company's HSE Program.
Determines the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommends means of preventing recurrence.
When unsafe practices/conditions or any safety violations are detected, he shall advise or direct the supervisor to correct them.
Responsible for the preparation, review and maintenance of needed record and statistical data as required by the client.
Authority to immediately stop any segment of work or in some cases the entire operation whenever a present danger is clear. Proper coordination with the Project Manager is also important.
Potential hazard identification (HAZID)
Advises Management on potential hazards.
Fully conversant will all local regulations and experienced in the field of safety management.
Provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Site safety organization.
Methods of safe working arising from new development.
Carry out safety audits in association with project engineer to see only safe methods of working are in operation and that all regulations and standards applicable, are being observed.
Assist with training for all levels of employees on safety
Attend and participate in site safety committee meetings
Collect and formulate data for inclusion in the monthly management report
Provide names and contacts of senior project and head office management and the emergency services and ensure that these are displayed on notice board around the office and site
Ensure that necessary emergency procedures are in place and updated as necessary
Liaise with subcontractors and in particular with their nominated site safety representative
Arrange testing of earth leakage circuit breakers (ELCB) whenever required
Supervises the recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss, assess accident trends and review overall HSE performance of the Project.
Administer weekly project Toolbox Talks on site.
Check all areas at least once a day for housekeeping and clean-up. Take immediate action to ensure compliance with requirements.
Ensure training is carried out for specified tasks, especially work of a "non-standard" nature.

Promote a positive HSE attitude amongst project employees using an authorized scheme of incentives and deterrents.
Ensure that accident investigations are conducted, when appropriate, in accordance with Company policies & procedures, under the direction of the Safety Department.
Maintain a safe and productive working environment by conducting appropriate safety, corrective action, job hazard, and inspections on a regular basis.
Continuously provide specialist advice & education on safety matters to all project personnel.
Ensure that every employee is informed and trained to perform their job in a productive and safe way in accordance with KN policies & procedures.
Monitoring the activities of company and subcontractor work operation.
Conduct the Safety Induction Course, Safety Training programs, Firefighting Training, Toolbox meeting checks of permits to work.

Demonstrates professional competence in the technical field of aviation safety and accident prevention.
Review all safety occurrence reports to identify trending and areas of concern, and then take appropriate action as required.
Safe conduct of all ground operations.
Responsible for completing actions outlined in the Emergency Operations Manual.
