Planning Engineer for Dubai Tram, a 14.5km Light Rail Transit System, 12 Stations + Depot ($1.3Billion)
•Assisted in evaluating tenders and prequalification documents at the Project’s tendering stage;
•Reviewed and commented on all revisions of the Project Master Schedule and all planning related documents/deliverables submitted by the Contractor;
•Responsible for the preparation and the submission of all Engineer's (Consultant) Bi-weekly and Monthly Progress Reports to the Client;
•Reviewed, validated and commented on the Contractor's Monthly Progress Reports and the monthly updated progress schedule; and prepared Schedule Progress Reports and cost assessment for proposed
changes by the Client;
•Responsible for the review and approval of all subcontractors’ prequalification submittals/documents;
•Assisted the Client in conducting Planning Audits on the Contractor and attended all Planning related meetings with the Client and the Contractor to review the progress of all Project phases and to analyze mitigation measures suggested by the Contractor for delays occurred. Also, assisted in all approvals related to any Extension of Time (EOT) and Variation Orders requested by the Contractor and their implementation within the Master Schedule.
Supervised the execution of several restoration projects (due to hail and wind damages) generally for
residential homes in Cabarrus County, Charlotte NC. Works included roofing, siding and gutters restoration and replacement.
-Participated in the Roadway Construction Intervention Evaluation Project. The job tasks included literature research for the asphalt and concrete paving process, GPS testing on construction equipment
and vehicles, performing a time study on the asphalt paving process, and constructing blind area diagrams for different construction equipment. A review was also made on roadway construction safety covered OSHA and MUTCD regulations. (Full-time summer internship hire).
