□ Managing purchasing deals & tendering process for all materials, equipment’s & services required for the business.
□ Established the company purchasing policy and procedures.
□ Review and approve purchase orders using ERP system (Oracle)and monitor the delivery process.
□ Managing logistics activities for purchased material.
□ Supervise the renewal of all company insurance policies.
□ Dealing with media agencies regarding media campaigns and product activation campaigns also with newspapers for advertisement rates.
□ Managing 3rd party fulfillment contracts and operation process.
□ Design review & implement new purchasing and logistics policy to maintain efficiency and economy of operation.
□ Work closely with Finance to develop the annual operating budget for the procurement function, establish budgetary controls in line with corporate strategy and continuously monitor expenses.
□ Managing procurement and logistics of outsourcing materials & equipment in Egypt, KSA, Libya, Morocco & other countries in MENA region.
□ Indicating & applying best purchasing methods following accurate procedures to achieve best value.
□ Sharing CEG in potential supplier selection & negotiations.
□ Receiving approved purchase requests accompanied with technical specifications for purchase order issuing.
□ Reviewing for approval issued purchase orders using ERP system (Oracle)Follow up the delivery process of the purchased items to the warehouse.
□ Follow up new projects & contracts to introduce best suppliers to the business.
□ Implementing Oracle purchasing suite in Egypt office also organizing training for all staff on the new system.
□ Prepares periodic reports that show the progress of the procurement activities.
□ Follow up route of cargoes (Air & Sea) to finalize all needed approvals before the arrival of the shipments.
□ Arrange & follow up custom clearance with clearance agents till the arrival of the shipment to the factory.
□ Contacting transportation companies for fast delivery of the shipments with best rates.
□ Getting all governmental approvals (GAFI, Industrial control, ministry of environment, etc.).
□ Maintaining good information regarding customs laws and regulation.
□ Arrange payment for custom duty and sales tax and for customs clearance.
□ Negotiating shipping lines for ocean & air freight charges.
□ Handling all insurance claim issues (sea freight, airfreight … etc.).
□ Receiving purchase requests accompanied with technical specifications from production department.
□ Contacting suppliers requesting price offers.
□ Negotiating received offers & preparing comparison sheets.
□ Reporting to Industrial development manager firmly, also to the Managing director periodically.
□ Receiving purchase requests from warehouse.
□ Searching for best suppliers for the requested items according to the technical specifications.
□ Contacting suppliers for quotes, negotiating prices & preparing comparison sheets & purchase orders.
□ Follow up the delivery of the purchased items and follow up the arrival till to the warehouse.
□ Arrange custom clearance with clearance agents.
□ Handling all governmental approval (GAFI, Industrial control, and customs authority).
□ Arrange payment for custom duty and sales tax and for customs clearance.
□ Handling all exported shipment.
