Ensure execution of fixed assets in line with the company’s policies and procedures and PIF’s
capitalization guidelines.
Find proper accounting treatment for fixed assets matters not covered by the company’s
policies and procedures in line with IFRS and relevant interpretations.
Ensure Zakat, VAT and WHT reporting in line with ZATCA regulations.
Develop and implement effective policies and procedures and ensure its clarity to employees.
Ensure that the team is well trained and adjusted to the next level.
Ensure execution of fixed assets and project accounting in line with IFRS and Ma'aden's policies
for (11) affiliated companies.
Provide advisory on complex financial and accounting matters including but not limited to:
- Budgeting and accounting for internally generated intangible assets,
- Budgeting and accounting for turnaround projects, capital spares and pre-feasibility/proof
of concept (POC) costs.
Hold training sessions to explain fixed assets related IFRS to the team.
Manage the general ledger activities which include fixed assets, taxation and financial reporting.
Generate annually/quarterly audited financial statements (consolidated and standalone).
Run a periodic health check to identify areas of improvement at accounting department and
other departments that affect the health of the accounting system.
Ensure accounting policies and procedures are up to date and fully complied with IFRS and other related regulations.
Interact with external parties in relation to financial audit and advisory, such as: external auditors, government auditors and IPO advisor.
Handle regular GL transactions on SAP system.
Analyze data and give a strong eye for errors and inconsistencies and then reconcile and devise solutions accordingly.
Reassess ECL and inventory provision periodically.
Generate monthly/annual (consolidated and standalone) financial statements.
Work side by side with external auditors, governmental auditors and IPO adviser.
Oversee the month-end / year-end closing and ensure the efficient and timely production of financial reports.
A member of accrual basis transition teamwork.
