Based in Department of Homeland Security Secure Operation Center (SOC) in conjunction with United States Customs and Border Protection. For DHS Headquarters, responsible for monitoring and actively identifying potential security threats; submitting tickets, incident reporting to appropriate entities and log analysis. Utilizing various tools to lead with remediation and prevention efforts. Everyday tools include but not limited to: ArcSight ESM, ArcSight Logger, Wireshark, Splunk, BigFix, McAfee ePolicy, Network Security Manager (NSM) and Remedy. Also familiar with Nessus, Sourcefire and Fidelis. Tools utilized for out-of-band dynamic and static analysis include IDA Pro, Process Hacker, NetworkMiner and RegShot. Provide assistance to headquarter employees with security-related issues. Required to stay abreast of industry knowledge and best practices. Perform peer reviews and write industry whitepapers/articles.

Computer and General Education Teacher for GED students. Computer instruction included hardware configuration, system maintenance, document and device management and Microsoft Office training. Drafted recommendations for appropriate student user privileges, settings, and policies.Instructed up to 25 students at a time in math, English, science and social studies.
