• Responsible in preparing Safety plan and revise existing plan that requires updated to meet new safety standard, comply with the present safety requirement of the project and to obtain continual improvement.
• Responsible I am monitoring and reviewing implementation of safety standard, Audit Safety Observation, statutory compliance & Safety related technology.
• Reporting on the performance of the health & Safety and any improvements needed.
• Organize and lead the project HSE Management Meeting.
• Identify training needs, prepare training modules and conduct training.
• Investigation site accidents/incidents and analyze the causes and implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Assist in the certification process of personnel required to secure certificate from Saudi Aramco and/or 3rd party.
• Prepare inspection reports bringing to attention matters of concern with proposal for remedial actions.
• Coordinate and participate in emergency drill to ensure that the procedures are workable and effective.
• Review all the HSE documents; Including risk assessment, method statement, work permit procedure and HSE equipment requisition to ensure compliance with standards.
• Record and rectify deficiencies identified during inspection to ensure safe practices.
• Review the daily activity report from HSE officers and prepare summaries for HSE corporate manager.
• Interface with the HSE officers to provide coordination. Technical assistance and problem solving advises in the course of their inspection duties.
Responsible for maintaining and implementing the Client’s Safety Plan and Company’s HSE Manual, etc. as required by the Project in all safety aspects, impart training to construction staff as and when necessary, Prepare / Implement Hazard Identification Plan as required by the Client. Responsible for overall supervision of safety activities for the construction activities, Co-ordinate with construction team to ensure all safety aspects are fulfilled prior to start of activities, create awareness of safety among the construction staff and workers, Identification, evaluation and control of safety, health and environmental hazards, Conduct daily safety inspection and monitor safety performance, Prepare and implement procedures and plans like excavation, confined space entry, working at height, fire protection, medical services, emergency, evacuation etc. Further, responsible for conducting safety orientation, permit receivers and issue course, test and certify, Compile accident statistics, help to select, procure and maintain personal protective equipment, Investigate incident / accident and take remedial measures to avoid recurrences, attend project safety meetings and present reports, present safety reports to client, monitor and modify safety
Implementation of safety policy and program. Implement all safety rules and govt. norms. Organize and conduct seminar orientation program for newly hired employees, making employee able to understand this safety region and column code to element this hazard, Hazardous observation and corrective action, giving tool box talk to the workers on safety, Promotion and maintaining both safety standard, Supervising the procurement and distribution PPE, providing continued education to employees by distributing safety, Publications, instructions, rules, poster, etc.
Further, responsible for enforcing the proper use and care of PPE, Periodically inspection of tools and other safety related equipment and recommendation, Firefighting training and fire extinguisher inspection, etc., Inspection of unsafe condition or unsafe practices or malpractice, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical safety inspection and identification of safety hazard and monitoring safety awareness, Work permit system and safe method working, Safety policy and safety committee, emergency and first aid facilitation.
