Within this role I built a positive relationship with my care and learnt to • Reading body language, acting at all times in their best interests. • Lieasing closely with their parents and other family members. • Becoming familiar with individual modified equipment such as hoists, slings, shower bench, wheel chair, standing frame, adjustable bed, all terrain buggy, vehicle lift. • Anticipating food intolerances and special dietary requirements • Administering medicines and providing appropriate treatments (in accordance with medical advice) • Travel arrangements • Arranging & attending daily activates (Swimming/cycling/events) • Learning and adapting individual special needs (Cercal Palsy / Speech & Sight impairment)
Promoting the rights of young people as individuals and providing them with quality care and safe environments. • Female client group aged 12- 18 suffering with ESBD • Dealing with abuse, neglect and trauma suffers • Health and Safety • Communicating between staff and outside agencies. • liaise with the police, social workers and families on a regular basis • Report writing in accordance with local procedures • responsibility of my own link child • keeping daily logs • booking health appointments; encouraging hygiene • Attending LAC and PEP meetings • Creating one to one sessions with therapeutic meaning • Building relationships • Computer skills • Care plans
