Role Overview:
As an Area Coordinator in the Partnership Unit, I am responsible for overseeing and strategically managing the implementation of a diverse range of programs in line with organizational strategies and objectives. My role entails close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective program planning, implementation, quality control, and achievement of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Strategy and Implementation:
- Lead the strategic implementation of ACTED's country and partnership program strategies, identifying opportunities for expanding programmatic impact within the region.
- Establish and nurture active working relationships with partners, INGOs, and other relevant actors, contributing to collaborative program planning and execution.
- Contribute to proposal conceptualization, including problem statements and logframes, in alignment with the organization's strategies.
2. Partnership and Stakeholder Management:
- Facilitate clear communication and coordination between ACTED, implementing partners (IPs), and other stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of quality outputs and outcomes.
- Support IPs in adhering to ACTED's procedures and risk mitigation measures, minimizing the risk of fraud and corruption.
- Engage in advocacy efforts by drafting issues papers, advocacy notes, and press releases on relevant humanitarian and development issues.
3. Program Quality Control and Monitoring:
- Develop and implement an effective field-based monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system for each project, ensuring technical requirements and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate the timely reception and review of IP project progress reports, ensuring the accuracy and quality of technical information provided.
4. Administrative and Financial Oversight:
- Review project budgets and financial reports to ensure adherence to established procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of project procurement plans, supporting efficient and transparent resource allocation.
5. Team Management and Development:
- Supervise project staff, ensuring they understand and perform their roles and responsibilities effectively.
- Support the development of individual Performance Management Systems for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improve.

1. Project Planning
- In coordination with the Area Coordinator, lead on the proposal development with IPs and internally and support the project budget development.
- Ensure the timely organization of project kick-off and close-out meetings.
- Together with Area Coordinators, ACTED Project Managers/Officers, and IP staff, plan the various stages of project implementation and set direction by prioritizing and organizing activities and resources to achieve project objectives.
2. Project Implementation Follow-up and Reporting.
- Lead the development of overall project implementation strategy, systems, approaches, tools, and materials.
- Oversee the implementation of projects ensuring that technical requirements and quality standards are considered and respected during project implementation.
- Coordinate the reception of IP project progress reports (internal and external), ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical information provided and Supporting the IPs in the independent reporting process.
3. Project Quality Control and External Relations
- Support the ACTED Project Managers/Officers and IPs to monitor the progress of activities, and monitor the efficient use of resources, and technical standards.
- Ensure the application of a practical field-based M&E system/plan for each project.
- Cultivate good relations with key humanitarian actors - local and international, including through regular attendance at technical meetings and bilateral meetings.
4. Administrative and Operational Management of Project Implementation
- Review the project BFU(s) to avoid under/overspending and coordinate the submissions with IP program teams.
- Contribute to the development of project procurement plans.

Chief Food Security and Nutrition Specialist (Acting as deputy project manager) à ACTED Syria

Supporting coordination and program managers in the implementation of food security projects, particularly Food for Peace (FFP) related projects, through the consolidation of information at a capital level.

• Supporting the reporting team in the preparation of reports to be submitted to Donors / Authorities / Coordinating bodies Food Security and livelihood (FSL) working group / Internal Coordination) and will be expected to provide reports covering activity implementation, achievement of objectives, successes / challenges, beneficiary feedback, etc.
• Supporting and meet Project Development Department to assist with project design, especially by technical specifications and related budgets, participation in the review of technical proposals and concept notes, create assessment related to project development.
• Participating in technical and sectoral meetings, and working groups involving NGOs and UN Agencies

and all other governmental institutions.
