• Have executed projects for greenfield and brownfield facilities on different phases like feasibility study, PRE FEED, FEED & detailed engineering package & estimation for ONSHORE & OFFSHORE platforms / Tie in’s under (OMPP).
• Executing projects in the role of Work Group Leader (WGL). Have demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines. Capable of identifying fit for purpose design methods to submit project deliverables on schedule and with quality.
• Plan, distribute & execute the design work among engineers, designers and draftsmen to meet project schedule and maintaining weekly progress reports.
• Have demonstrated competencies in the following areas:
Construction Scope of Work, Design Basis Scoping Paper, Control narrative, Functional Specification Documents, Control System Architecture Drawings, Instrument Datasheets, Cause & Effect Diagram and Logic Diagrams, SIL study, cut over Plans, Instrument I/O List, TBE Vendor data review, 3rd party SOW, BOM.
• Preparation & Checking of following types of engineering drawings developed by designers:
Instrumentation Index, Block Diagram, Cable & Conduit Schedule, Loop Diagram, Interconnection Wiring Diagram, Instrument Points and Lines, Equipment layout, Cable/tube Routing diagram, Cable tray layout, Panel Layout, Instrument Installation and Mounting details drawing and Instrument Installation Schedule.
• Experience in Process Control Systems involving DCS (Honeywell TDC3000, HPM, C300 controllers), ESD (Triconex, Tricon), SCADA, RTU (Yokogawa & Emerson - control wave) and Hydraulic well head control panel (Proserve & Saudi wells) and assist in PCS network design.
• Experience in design of Fire alarm system as per NFPA standards and Gas detection system.
• For every package plays the role of checker during SDC.
• Familiar with Standards - ATEX, ANSI, ISA, SAES (ARAMCO), IEC, IECEx & SANS.
• Review contract requirements for project execution; identify requirements in scope of work.
• Raise technical query for any conflict information within the project SOW/Technical document.
• Identify discrepancies in scope and raise change orders.
• Undertakes engineering site surveys to provide input information to facilitate detailed engineering.
• Review and comment on design drawing issued by other disciplines (IDC).
• Taking design sketches from engineers & designers and confirming that these details are according to the client’s standards and including any additional details to better explain the design concept.
• Communicate with equipment vendors to resolve complex issues concerning new technology, upgrade of equipment and new projects designs.
• Reviewing vendor NMR drawings and sketches and comment as pre scope requirements.
• Supports and train young Saudi engineers on resolving problems faced during project phase.
• Experience in conducting FAT for Hydraulic based ESD well head control panels (Proserv) & preparation of Punch List and Honeywell Experion EPKS C300

• Perform Instrumentation engineering design execution in with true regard to Safety.
• Preparation & Checking of Following Drawings:
- Instrument Specification/Data Sheets, Instrument Index
- Instrument Sizing calculations - Flow Element, Intrinsically Safe, CV, Level
- RAT Schedule (Range, Alarm & Trip), Alarm Reference Manuel.
- Instrument I/O List (Honey well TDC-3000)
- Updating, Editing, Modifying - P&ID’s / MFD’s
- Cable Schedule, JB Schedule & JB Termination Drawing
- BOM and MTO
- SAMA/ISA Drawings, Control Narrative, Cause & Effect Diagram.
- Hook-up drawings for field instruments.
- Instrument Loop schematic / Wiring diagrams
- Instrument Location & Cable Routing diagram
• Selection of instruments based on process condition.
• Prepare Engineering packages for instruments, control valves, DCS, ESD etc.
• Familiar with Standards - ATEX, ANSI, ISA, IEC, ARAMCO & SANS.
• Study all technical drawings, documents and any revisions thereon.
• Preparation of Drawings for AFC.
• Ensure that the construction issue drawings fully reflect the scope of works and requirements of the contract.
• Create and manage instrumentation scope work for project.
• Integrate packaged equipment into overall system design.
• Execute the works according to the latest approved revision of drawings.
• Review design drawing and engineering specifications, submittal to ensure conformance with Client and industry standards and practices.
• Raise technical query for any conflict information within the project technical document.
• Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates.
• Recommend new installations or modifications.
• SIL review with EXIDA.
• Communicate with equipment vendors and technical consultants to resolve complex issues concerning new technology, upgrade of equipment and new projects designs.
• Review and Comment/ Approval of Vendor Drawings.
• Undertakes pre engineering site surveys to provide input information to facilitate detailed engineering.
• Review and Comment on ISO Piping drawing containing the particular control loop component..
• Preparation and submitting the Final report.
• Performing FAT - Honeywell Experion EPKS C300, wherein the Logics are simulated by Test Jig Simulator to replicate real time scenario & preparation of punch points observed during FAT.
• Experience in SAP management system, used for document recovery.
• Discussions on PST for ESD Control Valves by Valve & Automation and Metso for safe functioning.
Design Tools & Softwares:
• Smart Plant Instrumentation (Intergraph 2009 - Service Pack 2 Hot Fix 6).
• INTOOLS - Preparation of Drawings, Calculations - Flow (Orifice)/CV/Intrinsically Safe, Global revision, Administration, License manager.
• Import Instrument index on MS excel into INtools.
• Maintain and back up the SPI database, troubleshooting of the application & database errors.
• IS calculator, Flow Orifice Calculations, Level and calibration range calculator.
• Micro Station/ AutoCAD.
• Spreed Sheet Calculator - Intrinsically Safe (IS) & Level
• Loop-Checking and commissioning works involvement, to check and confirm the Installations are in accordance with the Specifications and Standards. Good exposure in Instrument materials and engineering Drawings, manpower planning related to all above.
• Instrument installations, Calibration activities, instrument impulse lines, Cable Tray Erection, Cable Laying, Glanding, Termination, Junction box, Air Headers, Various Process Instruments like Transmitters, Various types of Analyzers, Indicators, Temperature and Pressure Gauges, Switches, Control Valves .
• Responsible for all Calibration and Loop Checking works.
• Performing the Site Acceptance Test for the DCS & Control room Panels.
• Powering up of all Control panels and DCS workstations.
• Monitoring the Loop Checking activities.
• Responsible for all activities in the Field and Control room.
• Responsible for all Calibration and Loop Checking works.
• Maintaining documentation in regard to drawings and daily / weekly progress report.
• Maintaining a proper record of Documents (Requisition for Inspection, Issue of Materials).
• Performing Authority for Permits

• Experience in detailing of location of J.B’s, Panels, instruments, sizing and routing of cable tray.
