In sector IC (Infrastructure & Cities) the scope of Medium Voltage and System (MS) is to conduct;
Products, Systems and Solution Business, which mainly includes supply of equipments from our main factories located in Germany, Turkey and China, with local value addition in our assembly plant located in Jeddah. Where as in Solution business (LSTK projects above USD 10 mio.), the scope is extended to set up of New substations as well as Extensions/Upgrading of existing ones, which includes Civil Works, supply of equipments in accordance with approved BOQ, their Installation, Testing and Commissioning.

Managing successfully and responsible for:
- Financial Statements of business Segment
- Overseeing the commercial activities which included finance & business admin. support for sales, marketing and project execution
- Regularly engaged with Managing Engineers, Project Commercials and controlling functions to perform projects review meetings for critical projects to assess performance
- Margin protection and cash flow management
- Compliance with accounting standards / Siemens AG Financial Reporting Guidelines (IFRS / USGAAP)
- Ensures reporting and process structures are and remain compliant with all statutory internal and external requirements.
- Maintaining internal control, Implement and ensure adherence to company’s policies and procedures.
- Investigates and resolves anomalies and unusual trends and ensure to meet KPIs, specifically cash targets and Keeping management informed with the relevant information and consult quick and proactive decisions and actions to meet set targets.
- Empowered team members by delegating clearly defined role and responsibilities as per the functional hierarchy and develop them by increasing their knowledge base by knowledge sharing.

Within Energy Sector, the scope of ET & HS was mainly to carry out mega complex LSTK projects ranging from 110kV to 380 kV substations new as well as extension / upgrading of the existing ones. The scope includes Civil Works, supply of equipment in accordance with BOQ, their Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
Following were my prime responsibilities
- Contract Management for clearly defined scope, terms & conditions for projects success
- LOA processes for managing the associated risks and ensure compliance with Siemens business conduct guidelines and other relevant regulations (SOA, RIC & RCO)
- Change management to eliminates “nice to have” changes and allows the projects to recover changes caused by external parties
- Regular Project Controlling to creates transparency to allow early and accurate forecast to enables quick and proactive decisions and actions to meet the set targets
- Risk & Opportunity Management for detailed analysis and evaluation with a clear strategy for their management and reporting
- Early and continuous integration of Procurement functions and compliance with procurement regulations, actively involved in negotiations with all major internal & external major suppliers.
- Oversees review of project profitability and balance sheet health, to include unbilled and billed Accounts Receivable balances. Meets with project managers regularly to assess progress and to discuss any potential contract needs or changes. Participates in monthly project status meetings and ensures concurrence of project status and progress.
- Accurately forecasts future financial periods. Close coordination with technical colleagues to ensure backlog reflects consistent.
- Create framework and transparency through standard reporting and ensure correct, timely financial reporting of BU
- Budgeting monitoring and controlling OPEX and CAPEX of operational units
