Project Description: Construction of a Gas Central Processing Facility - On-plot & Off-plot activities, Critical
Sour Gas Project including Commissioning and Start-up

Key Deliverables
 Supporting Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) via the Company Site Representative (CSR) in terms of HSE
Assurance on various projects executed by a PDO-appointed Off-Plot Delivery Contract (ODC) Engineering,
Procurement and Construction Contractor.
 Support the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System based ISO 9001
 Project HSE risk assessment processes (HEMP, HAZID, HSE Cases) as well as Environmental Risk Assessments
 Coaching and Mentoring the Contractor’s HSE Advisors along with other key personnel like Discipline Engineers and
Site Managers on various HSE Management System (HSE-MS) implementation issues.
 HSE Competency assessments and delivering required HSE Training
 Taking part in the implementation of PDO’s Asset Integrity-Process Safety Management System (AIPSMS)
 Assisting the Contractor to implement an HSE-MS based on ISO 14001 & BSOSHAS 18001
 Reviewing Contractor’s HSE-MS including all related documentation like HEMPs, HSE Plans, HSE Monitoring Plans,
procedures, JSAs, SWPs, SOPs, Method Statements, Training Matrix etc
 Monitoring and reviewing Contractor’s HSE performance through HSE Monitoring Plan reviews and Assurance Audits,
aimed at identifying the shortcomings/gaps and then recommending appropriate corrective, preventive and
improvement actions.
 Assisting the Contract to implement an effective Incident Management System
 Implementation of the Behaviour Based Safety Programme (Du Pont’s STOP) for the Contractor
 Verification of the effectiveness of Emergency Preparedness Procedures and Response Plans.
 Overseeing the ODC activities and projects including Civil works (Oil and Gas Rig/Hoist location preparation, road
works, piping, excavations, etc.), Mechanical (Oil/Gas Flowlines, Pipelines, Tie-Ins, Hook-up, Re-hook, Unhook,
Radiography activities), Electrical and Instrumentation.
 Carrying out HSE Audits on Oil & Gas Rigs/Hoists and Oil & Gas Production Plants on behalf of PDO on request

Safety, Health, Environment, Risk & Quality (SHERQ)
Highlights
 Successfully developed and:
- Integrated the SHERQ strategy into the overall business strategies.
- Instilled an appropriate SHERQ culture within the organization as well as stakeholders using BBS techniques.
 Developed a Risk-based Integrated SHERQ Management System using ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001
 Coordinated with the Oil companies (Clients) in terms of implementation of the best practices regarding fuel loading
gantries operations at the refineries and distribution depots.
 Implementing Sustainable Development initiatives
 Managed a team of SHERQ Specialists, Compliance Managers, Facilities Managers and Fleet Controllers
 Managing the SHERQ department’s budget

Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) Manager
Highlights
 Effectively managed the entire Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Management System for a network of
fuel retail outlets, Aviation Depots & Oil Terminals (petrol, diesel, aviation gas)
 HSE Risk Management
 Development of Business HSE Plans as well as the HSE Monitoring Plans to ensure HSE Performance Parameters are
consistently met & sustained.
 Managing the New Business Development HSE Training Academy
 Functioned as the HSSE Project Leader (including Contractor Management as well as coaching of contractor HSE
