Joined as an Estimation Engineer and crafted an upward growth curve to merit a promotion to the position of Senior Estimation Engineer, through exceptional performance.
Proposals
• Prepare detailed estimates (materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors) for various types of projects, including but not limited to oil and gas projects, buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities based on ITB documents, quotations, drawings, and specifications;
• Provide conceptual cost estimates and cost models from minimal information;
• Analyze bid documents, specifications, addendums in preparation for pricing and send bid queries to prospective clients for any clarifications, omission, or ambiguity in tender documents;
• Prepare detailed estimates/pricing 132/69/13.8KV substations for SEC projects;
• Calculate the direct and indirect staff requirements for the bidding projects and prepare the pertinent organizational chart;
• Evaluate the uplift factor to adjust the staff’s hour rate and compute the MH rate which covers the direct and indirect staff costs for the bidding projects;
• Calculate the other miscellaneous costs for the bidding projects such as mobilization, demobilization, material haulage at site, temporary facilities, scaffolding;
• Support or coordinate identification of areas of risk in the compilation of cost estimates and evaluate appropriate levels of contingency. Where necessary, perform Monte Carlo type risk analysis of costs estimates to determine contingency and accuracy levels.
• Estimate the civil works related to MEP works;
• Inspect the site prior to estimation in order to become acquainted with prevailing conditions;
• Prepare and/or verify Material Take Off, equipment and bulk quantities against drawings.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers/subcontractors and incorporate into estimate;
• Formulate all costs for tender submission- labor, materials, equipment, rental and subcontracts;
• Evaluate change orders by costing changes, additions, and site requirements;
Purchasing
• Coordinate the preparation of purchase orders for the procurement of equipment and materials and review vendor drawings and documents to ensure that materials and equipment meet client specifications and are obtained within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.
Projects
• Assess drawing and specs while making innovative solutions to complex construction challenges;
• Prepare technical queries (TQ) and request for information (RFI);
• Prepare electrical material data and submittals (MDS) for the on-going projects;
• Review contract requirements for project execution and prepare scope split/responsibility matrix;
• Design the electrical part of temporary facilities including camps, offices, and laydowns.
Quality
• Maintain ISO documentation, record keeping, and suppliers/manufacturers data bank;
• Conduct Internal audits to determine the company’s dedication and implementation of the quality management system established within the organization and its departments.
