- Assists the Procurement Director in establishing short and long-term strategies for the Procurement Department, and develops appropriate implementation plans.
- Formulates recommends and implements changes to Procurement policies and procedures to ensure integrity of the accounts procurement system; recommends internal controls as appropriate.
- Recommends and implements process enhancements and technology solutions to improve the efficiency, quality and timeliness of procurement activities
- Manage the purchasing and contracting activities by planning, controlling and following-up the assigned duties

• Responsible for managing the Purchasing function in accordance with University policies and procedures, and governmental law and guidelines.
• Ensures that all purchasing and contracting needs of the university are met in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.
• Ensures that procured goods and services provide best value for funds expended.

• Ensures that all Finance transaction of the university are met in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.
