• Sample handling and analysis (Petroleum Products, Chemicals, Crude/ Condensate) as per the local work instruction in line with our QA requirements and in strict accordance with relevant designated test methods.
• Effective teamwork between Inspection and Laboratory teams to ensure an effective Quality and Quantity service is provided to the customer.
• Actively participate and follow company’s HSE, Compliance, and Quality.
• Preparation of Standards and reagent standardization required for use in the Laboratories.
• Ability to test petroleum products as per International standards i.e., ASTM, IP, UOP and ISO.
• Perform complete analysis of Jet A-1, Gasoil, Bunker oil, Lube oil, GTL Diesel, Crude oil, Fuel Oil, Deodorized Field Condensate, Low Sulfur Field Condensate.
• Possesses experience in operation, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments and equipments pertained to Oil & Gas production from both onshore and offshore fields like GC, ICP and AAS..
• Regular use of certified reference material or control checks using secondary reference materials.
• Ensure timely completion and reporting of test results as per the requirements of the contract, nominations and instructions.
• Routine wet chemistry such as pH, water content, density measurement, viscosity and conductivity measurement in line with ASTM & IP methods.
• Documentation of experimental analysis and results.
• Helping to develop processes to further enhance the capabilities of the laboratory.
• Assist with the maintenance of the laboratory quality systems and compliance procedures in line with relevant ISO standards.
• Proficient in report writing including standard methods and laboratory support.
• Storage and standardization of chemicals and equipment calibration.
• Maintain all calibration records & equipment maintenance record.
• Assisting QA/HSE Rep in Quality & Safety activities of the Laboratory.
• Using molecular, biochemical and other methods to isolate and identify organisms that cause infection.
• Conduct molecular or biochemical studies and experiments into genetic expression, gene manipulation and recombinant DNA technology.
• Involved in policy and SOP preparation.
• Plan and conduct studies of the environment, and the population, distribution, structure and functional characteristics and behavior of plants and animals.
• Conduct ecological and environmental impact studies and prepare reports.
• Study, identify and classify plant and animal specimens.
• Prepare reports and plans for management of renewable resources.
• Conduct research into the structure, function, ecology, biotechnology and genetics of micro-organisms, including bacteria, fungi, protozoans, and algae
• Conduct studies into the identification, effects and control of human, plant and animal pathogens and toxins
• Quality control and identifying contamination.
• Monitoring and assessing samples from a range of sources, using a variety of identification methods to test samples.
• Tracking the development of specific micro-organisms in the environment, planning and organizing resources and activities.
• Microbial analysis on final products and raw materials.
• Providing information and advice to colleagues and external bodies,
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
