Employed as a Senior IT and Telecommunications Project Engineering Consultant at Saudi Aramco Oil and Gas’s Yanbu South Oil Terminal rehabilitation project. My responsibilities included the delivery of the design for the IT, Telecommunications and Security Systems for the entire 1 billion dollar project. I managed the acceptance and testing of the design of the complete information processing systems, data storage, LAN/WAN, Digital Radio Network (TETRA) and VOIP phone systems. I also supported the design and testing of the instrument and process control systems. Because of my unique abilities and experience I supported the projects personal computing needs these included, file server administration (MS Server 2012), DNS, AVAYA PABX, DHCP, LAN / WAN, Active Directory administration, Patching of the server as well as backup and maintenance and troubleshooting all network and individual users computer problems.

I have analyzed business requirements and determined system impacts, created formal system requirements based on these business requirements, created system and network design documents specifying the platform requirements of the designed system, created high level design specifications based on both the business and system requirements. Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator supervising a team of five UNIX engineers in the day to day operations and add on project development and administration of advanced Unix/Linux based servers for Raytheon. My team and I maintained a base of over 600 servers consisting of Redhat Enterprise 5-7, Sun Solaris 2.6 - 2.9 and 10, 11 while achieving more than a 98% up-time SLA. I was promoted to the SAS business unit team lead within three months of joining.
Oversaw the management, maintenance and expansion of a complete data, voice and computer network including satellite-based Wan Internet connection for a remote mine site in Eastern Africa (Tanzania). Ensured the efficient operation of the company’s radio and data networks, clients, servers and databases. This included managing the staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems. Developed and implemented a WiFi communications network to cover the entire mine site. Planned and implemented a major digital radio system (Motorola) and ensured proper controls were established to ensure compliance with all local, national and Sox regulations.
I was responsible for the design, Implementation and Maintenance of the Nice Systems Call recording and analysis system. I resolved recording issues with the VOIP based Avaya telephone infrastructure and ensured that the databases and recordings where archived and maintained in optimum condition to determine both the effectiveness of the customer support personal and to allow the retrieval of information in accordance with United States HIPPA requirements.
Implemented a complete data, voice and computer network including satellite-based Wan Internet connection for a remote mine site in Southern Armenia. Managed and maintained the systems and ensured the efficient operation of company’s network, clients, servers, databases. This included managing the staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems. Drafted and implement DGMC IT best practices for IT standards, policies and procedures, including policies and procedures to ensure compliance with (Canadian) Sarbanes Oxley legislature (C-SOX). Developed and implemented a WiFi communications network to increase senior management access to computer and communications network (provided both VOIP and land-based phone access) Implemented a major radio system and ensured proper controls were established to ensure compliance with all local and national regulations.
As the technical leader, managed the installation at customer sites of integrated communications hardware and software systems that allowed for recording, sorting and playback of all forms of communications (voice, computer data, and video). During tenure was promoted to Senior position and worked in a select group tasked with handling the top 25 international clients.
Served as the Regional Information and Communications Manager for Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE: NEM) - Central Asia. Oversaw a team of Russian employees that installed and maintained a 300 person network. Responsible for the smooth and constant operation of the computer, communication and PLC systems using a mixed data/voice satellite WAN communications circuit. Implemented the corporate ERP (Ellipse) at site - managing a group of external consultants. Supervised the conversion of computer systems from a Novel to a Microsoft-based server network. Grew the IT department from a few part-time technicians to a significant IT team.
