Intellect Liquidity Risk Management (I-LRM) is a Risk Management Solution, a part of Intellect Suite of Products developed by Polaris Software Labs. The five pillars of this system cover Real-time liquidity, Structural Balance Sheet Management (ALM), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Basel III Reporting, Counterparty Credit Risk & Collateral Management. The system enables the banks and financial institution’s world-wide to comply Basel III regulatory reporting.
Asset Liability Management (ALM) measures the Interest Rate Risk & Liquidity Risk for the financial institution’s portfolio as per the global standards.

Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) provides a single unified engine for evaluating the two aspects of performance measurement in banking operations - the profitability of operations as well as the risks assumed in earning these profits. The Transfer Pricing module operates on the principle of the ‘Match Funding’. It is designed to manage risk effectively and to accurately measure performance in various divisions of the bank. The system helps to provide information on diverse cost and revenue towards ranging from single transaction level to aggregated banking profitability analysis. The system allows the FTP Manager to do the Pricing based on various rating methodologies like TSIR (Term Specified Interest Rates), Liquidity Premium, Pool Rate, Fixed Rate and Zero Coupon Rates).

Responsibilities:
Discussions with the business team and ensuring the user requirements are documented clearly in the form of Business requirement documents.
To ensure proper translation of business requirement document in to Functional specification document.
To build the Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Model and work closely with the technology team.
To obtain and record approvals / signoffs received from business team on the business requirements.
Managing the delivery and business analysis team of about 20 members across the implementations and a team of 15 people for delivering the product internal roadmap for ALM, FTP & Basel III Reporting.
Track the delivery of all the ongoing implementations of the product along with doing the market research in building new features and functionalities in the product roadmap project.
Ensure the delivery dates for all the engagements are met with appropriate solution in the product and track the projects milestones closely.
Identify the Risks in the project and handle the timely escalation from teams across and with the customer.

Risk Results Repository (RRR) April 2012 - Dec 2012

The objective of the project RRR is to build a consolidated Risk Results Repository and develop a platform for visualization and reporting. It is a Risk Management Solution which comprises of data from Market Risk and Credit Risk systems - Global VaR (Value at Risk) team, Incremental Risk Charges(IRC), Economic Risk Capital(ERC), Consolidation of Profit & Loss from various businesses, Simulation Results like Back-Testing, Stress-Testing, Scenario Analysis, Results of Portfolio Analysis and Credit Adjustments.
The solution encompasses to build a reporting process flows framework on to the risk results repository so as to utilize Business Intelligence for Reporting and Panopticon as Visualization tool. The results repository finally that lends itself to real-time refreshing of results, optimum performance aligning with the data volumes, data security with entitlements.

Responsibilities (onsite):

Intellect ALM product measures the Interest Rate Risk & Liquidity Risk for the financial institution’s portfolio as per the global standards.

The project involved the replacement of 10-year-old legacy software being used by the client at multiple geography locations. Intellect ALM product was chosen to replace the existing system and to manage / automate the mid-office operations of the bank’s treasury team.

There was a need to build the Product processor to perform the ETL part which connects with various source systems of the bank to manage the data extraction, mapping & transformation, reconciliation and load the refined data towards the ALM product.
