• Monitoring & controlling projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time over-runs and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of projects.
• Implementing projects from concept to commissioning including project management, tenders, critical analysis, erection, crisis management, cost saving measures, quality control, etc.
• Coordinating with various departments and sections of utility like projects, protection, metering, load dispatch centre for approval and co-ordination.
• Observing the testing & commissioning activities.
• Reviewing monthly payment application submitted by the contractor.
• Monitoring and controlling the project close out activities for obtaining PCC & FCC
• Making sure the required month target is achieved in terms progress and money.
• Closely monitoring / regularly visiting the site & obtaining the feedback from the concern project managers and ensuring the targeted budgets & Quantities prior to proceed for procurement activities at the stage of engineering completion.
• Assisting to procurement department like scrutinize / thorough checking prior to place LOI / LPO to the vendors in terms of payment, delivery, taxes, duties, quantities & price etc.,
• If any discrepancies in terms of cost overrun in materials during the procurement stage completely penetrate in to the subject and sort out the issues / ambiguities etc., perhaps few items would be a positive variation to the contract and the same to be brought in to management / post contracts department at the moment as required to claim variation immediately.

• Reviewing Material Submittals, drawing submittals, chairing weekly progress meetings, preparation of Weekly and monthly reports, preparing RFI’s, Evaluation of EI / VO’s.
• Completely manages and supervise over all execution of MEP works from the date of inception of the project through out to completion and during defect liabilities.
• Ensure completion of the project within the contractual requirement of the client and, within the budget, cost and quality with the proper safety records.
• Maintain very strong and good relationship with the client and consultants.
• Responsible for the time preparation of shop drawing and related material submittal and follow up with the consultant for the early approvals.
• Inculcate the sprit of togetherness and team work among the project team.
• Have regular site walk and safety walk with the team members.
• Submit variations and payment application with commercial senses.
• Keeping track of revisions to contract drawings, Engineer Instructions and variations and ensure that all the structural and architectural requirements are well coordinated in MEP drawings
• Directly coordinate with consultant for design clarification and early approval of drawing and submittal.
• Conflicts management among sub-contractors.
• Directly liaise with subcontractor for early procurement and delivery of material on site.
• Initial preparations, review and update P3 program in accordance with the civil program.
• Liaise with QS dept. in finalizing the monthly bills and variation orders of MEP.
• Preparation of composite drawing with defining the clear route for cable tray, duct, chilled water pipe and firefighting pipes.
• Check the design of electrical and mechanical and notify if any missing information vide RFI to consultant.
• Make sure that the shop drawings are being prepared in line with the IFC drawings and complying the structural and architectural requirements.
• Make sure the available man power is meeting the project requirement and make mitigation program in case of any delay noticed.
• Confirm the material delivery schedule is meeting the project requirement.
• Notification of variation, claims and counter claims.
• Notifications of delay to Engineer in case of any new requirements and delayed in approvals.
• Ensure the installation of MEP is meeting the standard quality and implement corrective action for the continuous improvement.
• Liaise with the QA & QC of Consultant to resolve in case of any Quality control issues.
• Closing out of NCR related to MEP.
• Preparation and implementation of contract specific quality plans, procedures, and conduct work inspection prior to the consultant, method statement and inspection & Test Plans.
• Monitoring subcontractors ‘s work progress in light of quality control policy.
• Initiate actions to prevent recurrence of non-conformity.
