Recruited as a CEO assistant for planning, designing and developing new concept of ready to wear design.
Other Responibilities: rady to wear design’s strategy daily-weekly-monthly-yearly concepts/ideas; forecasting, sourcing and design’s calendar; design (daily wear, evening wear, abaya, Ramadan collection, new shapes, textiles, pattern cutting, and CAD); communication with domestic and overseas personnel (India, KSA, Dubai, and China); production in Kuwait and India (samples and orders; technical specs, measurement, grading, embellishment - hand work and embroidery); fashion exhibition (KSA, Dubai, Kuwait); social media strategy with GCC bloggers and celebrities - marketing campaigns; merchandising.
Recruited as a company’s first designer with accountability for planning, designing and developing new concept of the first luxury Abaya store in GCC region. Reporting directly to CEO of the company with accountability for all product development from initial sketch (handwriting or CAD) and color stories and embellishment, to fabric selection/sourcing and working with production to ensure timely delivery. Design responsibilities have included: Abaya, Evening Dresses and Accessories.
Other Responibilities: brand strategy for the first luxury Abaya store in GCC (research-strategy-design-touchpoint-assets: physique, relationship, reflection, personality, culture and self image); production (France, Italy, Switzerland, China, Poland, United Arab Emirates and India); marketing activities (VIP cold-calling/lead generation, newsletters and articles, online, trade shows, TV and social media).
Initially hired as senior designer with responsibilities for designing 4 seasons collections; Abaya, Jalabiya and Accessories (handwriting or CAD), but subsequently assumed numerous additional responsibilities including supervising samples making in China, Poland and India.
Played key role in design (handwriting or CAD) and production of RTW. Managed workroom of pattern makers and sewers. Organized workload including cutting, construction finishing, pressing and shipping.
Other Responibilities: quality control; overseas retailers, shipped goods, followed up with orders and invoicing.
Hired as assistant to designer with responsibilities for retracing patterns. Supervising production in Poland and Italy. Designed Style Sheets & Tech-Packs from using CAD. Assisted principle designer create fashion design styles.
