Vinh Son - Song Hinh - Upper Kon Tum HydroPower Project - Vietnam.
Project Description: Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Plant Project with designed capacity of 220MW, located on Dak Nghe River, Kong Plong Dist, Kon Tum province. Breaking ground in 2009, the plant was expected to start operation in 2014.The project’s two most important items are water-intake tunnel and the plant which have been undertaken by Chinese contractors - Hydrochina Huadong Engineering Corporation and China Railway Construction Co Ltd - since 2011. The tunnel progress is two years behind schedule.
Total capital for the plant’s construction is estimated at US$270.36 m The Chinese contractors won the bid to implement the project with estimates of US$75.78 m, 50% lower than that offered by other contractors. However, they later repeatedly claimed another US$37.65 m. VSH has terminated contracts with them and finished preparing necessary documents to bring the case to the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) on January 12, 2015.
The Crown System Vietnam provided the Primavera Training courses (basic course 102P, advanced courses 106P and 106R - Resource Management) for Project Management Team of VHS-Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower Plant Project on Jan 2016.

Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) Project.
Project Description: The Grand Egyptian Museum is described as the largest archaeological museum in the world. The museum is envisaged as a cultural complex of activities devoted to Egyptology and will contain 24, 000m² of permanent exhibition space, a children’s museum, conference and education facilities, a large conservation centre and extensive gardens on the 50ha site. The collections of the museum include the Tutankhamen collection that is currently housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Solar Boat that is now housed beside the pyramids.
The total estimated project cost is US$815m, 65% from JICA and the remaining from Supreme Council of Antiquities and other donations and international funds. Hill and EHAF JV provides project management services for GEM project.

Project Description: The Happyland Themed Park & KT Entertainment City is planned to be Southeast Asia's greatest tourist attraction, serving the recreational and entertainment needs of both domestic residents and foreign tourists. The Themed Park is developed on a prime riverside location in Ben Luc, Long An. It has a land area of around 340 ha for phase 1 and around 350 ha for phase 2. The highlight of the project is its complexity. It’s not only a simple entertainment park like other parks but also a multiform combination with a themed park that is invested as the same rank with world-famous entertainment parks such as Disneyland, Universal Studio...
The first phase is estimated about US$600 m. Hill International provides project management services for this project.

Bien Dong 1 Project (BD1)
Project Description: Bien Dong Petroleum Operating Company (BDPOC) took over as operators of the Block 5.2 and 5.3 licenses which are being relinquished by BP Vietnam. The BD1 Project covers engineering, procurement, onshore construction and offshore installation of a complex of offshore facilities including two Wellhead Platforms WHP-MT1, WHP-HT1, a Production and Quarters Platform PQP-HT, together with infield pipelines, export gas pipelines and submarine cables. They are the largest platforms in Vietnam, especially the PQP-HT having oversized structure and complex process systems. With the total weight of approximately 13, 000 tons, WHP-MT1 is the largest wellhead platform fabricated in Vietnam at the moment. The fast-track of WHP-MT1 was completed on schedule at Vietsovpetro fabrication yard after over 14 months, a very short timeline for building a platform of this size.
Project cost approx. US$1, 200 m; BDPOC holds 51% and 49% by Gazprom.
Responsibilities/Task: In charge of overall planning and scheduling of EPC Project.

Project Description: Dragon - Tortoise Gas Compressor Rig is the second rig of Vietsovpetro (VSP). It consists of two main items- the base and the upper block, with a total weight of more than 2, 800 tons, was installed at the Dragon oilfield, Lot 09-1 offshore Vietnam. The work is designed to build two high-pressure compressor combinations with the capacity to treat 960, 000 m3 of gas per day, in order to collect the entire amount of associated gas and gaslift from Dragon - Tortoise oilfield Lots 09-1 and 09-3, with reserves of over 2.5 billion m3, brought on shore for socio-economic development. This rig is connected to the exploration system of VSP in the Dragon and White Tiger oilfields through RC-3 rig and 5 underground pipelines total 43 km in length.
Project cost approx. US$150 m, funded by PetroVietnam (PVN) and PVGAS; VSP is the General Contractor.

The new expansion was performed in parallel with the existing on-going terminal, without shutting down the terminal, that requires an utmost attentions and cares for the safety. All the site hotworks are performed under Positive Pressure Habitat.
Project funded by PVN, BP, ONGC Videsh and ConocoPhillips. Alpha-ECC undertook the implementation of Structural, Mechanical and Piping package - major part of Project.
Responsibilities/Task: Provide Management Services; In charge of overall planning and scheduling, progress tracking and reporting.

Project Description: The Project includes a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) 7, 400 m3/day, Pumping Station 500 m3/h, the 43 km of Sewerage and Drainage Network to collect the waste water from about 7, 400 household into the Pumping Station and Pressure pipelines 2.2 km in length to transport the waste water from the Pumping Station to WWTP for treating before being discharged into Cam Ly downstream.
The WWTP covered the area of 7.5ha, consists of a Sand Depositing Tank, 2 nos. Two-shells Sedimentation Tanks, 2 nos. Biological Trickling Filter Tanks, 2 nos. Secondary Sedimentation Tanks, a Circulator Pumping Station, 3 nos. Biological and Disinfect Tanks; 2 nos. Mud Drying Fields, Technical Pipes with Ø150 to Ø700 diameter, other utility/service buildings and infrastructures.
The total initial investment was about US$ 16 million (80% from DANIDA). The Hung undertake WWTP and Pumping Station as Sub-Contractor of Per Aarsleff A/S (PAA) - General Contractor.

Project Description: Baria Serece JSC is a French-Norwegian-Vietnamese JV set to build and operate the first deep-water port for vessels up to 60.000 DWT in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The port has over 8, 200 m2 of enclosed warehouses, 30, 700 m2 of concrete storage yard. The site supports a maximum pressure of 5 t/m2, allowing the Port to play a major role in heavy-lift transshipments.
Total investment is 6, 791, 600 €., funded by Baria Serece JSC. VINCI Construction Grand Projets carried out the project as D&B General Contractor.

1.Geotechical subsurface investigation:
Supervise the vane shear test and pressuremeter test on site.
Review, comment and provide the Geotechnical Reports to Design staff.
Coordinate with Design staff to perform additional investigation as requested.
2. Construction Management:
Establish specific project procedures for Construction Management.
Review reports, specifications, plans and construction documents;
Review Design and early notice Project Manager of any deficiency.
Review, comment Contractor’s Method Statements, Shop drawings and other Technical matters
Oversee the implementation of construction work on site
Coordinate inter-discipline activities
Resolve field construction issues, constraints and interfaces.
Prepare punch list(s) and monitor completion
Alert PM to the potential issues and propose mitigate solutions
Maintaining ‘health and safety at work place
Identify and set up response plan for high-risk activities that may impact project.
3. Quality Management
Review and interpret applicable rules, regulations, and policies.
Review Contractor’s QA/QC procedures and documents.
Review, comment and approve Source Selection for raw materials.
Check all materials and equipment as delivered on site
Receive and coordinate for site inspection requests.
Review, comment and approve testing certificates, inspection requests, etc.
Coordinate Quality issues; issue NCRs and follow-up to close.

Design International Factory Project (Producing of Jewelry)
Project Description: Founded in 1973 by Bernard Nguyen, the CHRISTIAN BERNARD Group is one of today's world leaders in the watch and jewelry industry. Design International Factory is the first production facility of CHRISTIAN BERNARD Group in Vietnam. The complex covers 5, 000 m2 for production and housing of expat staff. The production area consists of a 3-storey production building with total 3, 000 m2 of floor, a generator house, a canteen, parking areas and roads.
Project cost approx. US$1 m, invested by Christian Bernard Group. Saigon Shipyard/Campenon Bernard provide Project Management Services.

Renovation of Post of Economic Expansion of French Embassy (PEE) Project.
Project Description: The construction included the renovation of State-owned French-style villas located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, nearby Hoan Kiem Lake. The villa was seriously degraded after longtime remain as they were due to lacking of state budget for maintenance. This villa comprised a 2-storey building with a basement served as office for PEE of French Embassy and a separate building served for meeting, gathering and party. The renovation including new construction of Generator House and raise one more story which serves as housing for the Commercial Consular-the chief of PEE.
Responsibilities/Task: Leading staff about 60 workers at pick period for renovation works; Quantity Survey; Progress control and Weekly meeting with Client.
Prepare baseline schedule and follow up for tracking and update.
Organize and supervise construction teams to proceed the renovation.
Coordinate the materials delivery on site complying to construction progress.
Daily supervise and coordinate to resolve field issues with M&E Contractor.
Attend weekly coordination meetings
Provide quantity for interim payment claim.
