• Responsible for the start-up of the new facility.
• Review of the SOP and make necessary recommendations where required.
• Managing of shift personnel and hold them accountable for compliance to the SOP
• Hold the shift personnel accountable for adherence to procedures and production management systems such as inspections, lading of defects etc.
• Identify and act on safety and operational risks
• Responsible for the entire SASOL PIPELINE NETWORK inside and outside the borders of South Africa. Ensuring an adherence to the agreed ATOP on gas distribution for both local and external customers.
• Supporting a recovery plan for all internal customers by temporary making more gas available to the affected internal customers without affecting the entire network
• Effectively completed the rollout of SHE strategy which helped to achieve zero harm
• Reduced interruption supply of pipeline gas to end users through leadership visibility; both at compressor station and pipeline, and also by increasing competency of production team.
• Reduced number of plant trips by effective implementation of shift system.
• Achieved clean audits for both internal and external Safety on health; environmental; quality and compliance audits.
• Managed to control cost variance within the agreed budged and achieved all set production volumes within the set budget.
• Reduced third party complains by establishing regular visits, to hold engagements sessions with communities along our gas pipeline. This also reduced cases of illegal or unauthorised excavations along gas pipeline.
• Rolled out the career development plan and progressed all qualifying personnel per career ladder guideline.
• Takes full accountability as an appointed person for Compressor station and pipeline.

o Established System Completion office for EGTL Project Turnover Phases. This office was fully responsible for managing all project walk downs, collating of raised punch items, review and follow-up to ensure that these punch items are fully addressed, development of dossiers from Mechanical Completion(MC), Ready for Commissioning(RFC), Ready for Start-up(RFSU) and Ready for Operations(RFO). The office was also responsible for issuing of dossiers with certificates for approval.
o Build a highly competent team to take a lead to support the project by identifying required resources and skills and formulate Turnover Group which consists of, Zenator Database Coordinator, Document Controllers, walkabout coordinators, and technical assistance for managing all walkabout schedules. Achieved nationalisation of my position within 18 months through effective knowledge skills transfer and proper establishment of turnover systems.
o Conducted PSSR and Turnover training to all SME’s for the project. Disciplines trained includes.

Heads of the departments
Supervisors of all departments
Operators and technicians for the entire project
DPR-Escravos Reps (Department of Petroleum Resources) for Nigeria
o Drove and reviewed all turnover dossiers up to approval stage.
o Reviewed questions and collate all required information for Operational Readiness review for Commissioning Group. This was in line with my responsibility as System Completion and Support Manager to support Commissioning Manager.
o Compiled, reviewed and approved Training Manuals for EGTL Project
o Trained plant personnel for EGTL project and declared them competent.
