Overseeing the planning, buying, inventory, trading, and staff product training activities for the company’s fashion division, which includes Gianni Versace, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Aigner mono-brands as well as Fendi Timepieces across the company’s chain of “Trafalgar” multi-brand watch stores. Main point of contact for the brands; travelled frequently to Milan and in the region to attend meetings and markets.
Managing the planning, buying, trading activities and brand relationships for a number of franchised brands in Kuwait and Middle East region including Maxmara, Marina Rinaldi, Max&Co., Weekend by Maxmara, Persona, Marella and Liu Jo. Opened new stores in Al Ain, Dubai and Kuwait. Developing new business/regional expansion by planning budgets, selecting and trading stock, and minimizing terminal stock at the end of the season. Travelled frequently to Italy for buying and brand meetings.
Defined and guaranteed the purchasing budget in line with brand and sport's commercial policy within the company supply policy. Prepared the upstream supply with component brands (CZ Quantities Plan, Sales & Operations Planning). Recommended actions in order to balance stock flows (Top/flop, ageing stocks etc.). Knowing the environment: supply chain, industrial production, customs, transport, market, group strategies, legal regulations, standards, logistics and information systems.
All merchandising responsibilities including price file management, stock file maintenance, cost price
management, inventory control, orders, forecast planning/OTB management and inventory analysis.
Responsible for developing the marketing strategy, weekly calendar and communication including event planning, activity areas, and wall/led communication as well as social media and CRM accountability.
§ Brand Negotiations - Marketing, product, event discounts- New and Existing brands. § Promotional planning, communication and analysis, competitor analysis.
§ Weekly store visits with store/operations/VM teams.
Brands responsible for; Coast, Warehouse, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, including line by line selection and
range building for Coast and Evans brands.
All general merchandising responsibilities including; weekly sales/stock/margin analysis and reporting, buy planning/forecasting/OTB management, markdown and promotional planning and implementation, inventory control and analysis, stock file maintenance. Attended UK host brand seasonal/strategic meetings in London. Cascaded learnings to stores/operations. Managed marketing activities and local events along with social media accounts for Topshop.
Controlling and reporting international retail activities - store’s inventory management, export records, campaigns and CRM activities. Following the legal process for abroad to-be-established units and stores. International wholesale customer relations - account management and following the order status. Following the logistics process, sending the after-delivery documents to the customers. Arranging preliminary meetings with the potential franchisees, discussing prior conditions.
