Project Description:
This project provides an all in one central repository for converged Data Platform that helps bank to integrate and analyze a wide variety of online and offline customer data including the e-commerce transactions, clickstream data, e-mail, point of sale (POS) systems, social media and call center records. Analyst can analyze this data to generate insights about individual consumer behaviors and preferences, and offer personalized recommendations such as flexible offers and Loyalty and Reward Programs.

Key to this is the ability to optimize selections and pricing that are tailored to individual consumer’s likes and dislikes based on the frustration level of each customer which provides a 360° Customer View across the products offered to them. Business need the ability to analyze dated and live data, as well as predict the future, to distill through and find out what are valuable, sight trends and share insights they may not even have imagined.

With Predictive Analytics, we achieve benefits ranging from increased revenue to lowered product development expenses, faster time to market and reduced risk. This tool builds the strategies, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) definitions and implementation roadmaps that assist our bank in their Analytics & Information ecosystem journey right from Strategy definition to large scale Global Implementations & Support using the big data ecosystems.

Responsibility:
•Developing Sqoop jobs with incremental load from heterogeneous RDBMS (Oracle) using native dB connectors into HDFS.
•Designed Hive repository with external tables, internal tables, buckets, partitions, ACID property, UDF and ORC compressions for incremental data load of parsed data for analytical & operational dashboards.
•Handled heterogeneous data sources such as RDBMS, Streaming data and different file formats.
•Involved in devising data migration strategy from heterogeneous databases such as RDBMS, MySQL integrating shell scripts, Sqoop, HBASE.
•Experienced in developing Hive Queries on different data formats like Text file, CSV file, Log files and leveraging time based partitioning yields improvement in performance using HiveQL
•Implemented functionality based data modelling on Hive Tables and stored the resultants record sets into HBASE via Hbase storage Handler Column mapping
•Created Hive external tables for the data in HDFS and moved data from archive layer to business layer with hive transformations.
•Performed Data enrichments such as filtering, pivoting, format modeling, sorting and aggregation using Hive.
•Installed and configured Hive and also written Hive Aggregate Functions and supported for writing UDF’s.
•Worked on performance optimization of various ecosystems such as hive, Sqoop
•Batch Script analysis and execution in Putty Tool.
•Perform task as per framework of SCRUM in the form of Sprints.

PREMIA General Insurance, a part of our globally popular PREMIA suite, is a general insurance software product. The general insurance software improves underwriting, claims, reinsurance and financial accounting processes through seamlessly integrated modules, which also helps in related aspects such as rating, quoting, policy administration, and general ledger accounting. In addition, it gives unmatched scope for customization.
This general insurance software product is built on the Oracle platform that gives unlimited server hardware and operating system choices. It caters to multiple business lines such as Motor, Fire, Marine, Miscellaneous, and Home, to name a few. It enables quick rollout of new products and adherence to statutory changes. It also allows automatic generation of accounting documents.
Module: Underwriting, Claims, Re-Insurance, Finance.

Responsibility:
• I have been for 6 months at Client place in Zimbabwe.
•I worked on bug fixes, implementing the new client customizations and support for UAT.
•Met with Business end users regarding issue and fix those issues.
•Created the database Objects (Tables, Views, Procedure, Functions, Packages).
•Analyses and resolve the base bugs to improve the product.
•Using Sql, Pl/Sql created new Packages, Stored Procedures, and Triggers & Functions as per the requirements.
•Created Procedures and called the procedures in the external validation packages.
•Responsible for the new developments/Customizations for the ongoing project for filling the Gap’s found in the product which is always specific to the project.
