Responsible for managing a team, in accordance to their job responsibilities and at the same time ensuring task accomplishment within timelines.
Handle customers coming to stockyards directly for checking their cars before the actually buy them.
Handling internal Winch Truck operations. Arranging and supervising transfer of cars to internal facilities as required from time to time through Winch trucks.
Supervising and performing inspection of new fleet shipments received at port from time to time with respect to the guidelines provided from Mercedes Benz OEM.
Supervising and Handling the maintenance of new cars in stock on a daily basis in order to keep them in a healthy condition.
Preparing and analyzing various report on daily, weekly & monthly basis. (internal Fuel consumption report for vehicles, stock reports, PDI request reports from salesmen)
Arranging car to be carried out PDI as per the priority and requests from the salesmen and ensuring a smooth delivery.
Handling recall and service measures to be carried out on particular sets of cars before they are delivered, thus ensuring an excellent customer experience post-delivery of cars.
Supervising the life and age of in-stock vehicles in accordance to the manufacturing year and ensuring the rotation.
In charge for Pan India Level Maintenance of fleet of vehicles for the company.
Handle motor insurance claims from time to time with different insurance companies and ensure timely closure following the principle guidelines of respective insurance company.
Planning, resource optimization and ensure zero lapses in management of fleet across all branches.
Build strong partnerships with all fleet customer segments, ensuring that services, vehicles and equipment provided are satisfying the transportation and equipment needs of the users dispersed across these segments.
Recruit, organize, train, develop, lead, motivate, direct the efforts and manage the performance of the employees comprising fleet services.
Create departmental and fleet expense and capital budgets, to submit for approval to management. Track performance vs forecast on a monthly (or other) basis.
Ensure that all vehicles and equipment in fleet are properly maintained and registered, licensed, tested and to the extent appropriate, operated in accordance with state and local regulations.
Perform vehicle registration, insurance and documentation regarding in induction of new vehicles in existing fleet.
Ensure that Operations team receives proper instruction and refresher training needed to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to or misuse of vehicles and equipment comprising the fleet.
Competently manage the fleet procurement and rental processes and the feet maintenance and operation support arears, ensuring the fleet availability, performance, user satisfaction and costs are such that the company’s fleet consistently ranks, by the measures, in the top quartile of the fleet.
Analyze and determine what vehicles to purchase and how they are to be equipped.
Create/update fleet policy and procedures, to include vehicle assignment, personal use, replacement policy, accident reporting process and other procedures.
Determine what fleet processes should be outsourced, to which suppliers they should be awarded and to act as primary contact with all suppliers.
Obtain & Maintain relevant license, permit, fitness for all cars in the region.
Maintain inspection records, ensure scheduling of servicing and repairs.
Map service network in the region and tie up with authorized service agents in the region.
Visiting dealerships for work approvals according to the job requirements.
