Maintain Sungard client Networks that include Cisco, Juniper devices.
- Make changes on Sungard Core Juniper network with VPN overlaps and L3
MPLS VPN for communication btw two different Sungard clients.
- Import / Export routes with clients on Juniper / Cisco routers.
- Implementation involves changes on Cisco ASA, PIX, Cisco Switches/Routers.
- Changes involves client network that include Juniper J, M, T, MX, E, SRX
series routers / Juniper Netscreen.
- As per clients request, Create and implement change plans.
- Communication to team members during incident resolution and Change
activities.
- Setup and tear down of VPNs - strong knowledge of VPN technologies across
multiple vendor platforms (building tunnels with 3rd parties).
- Troubleshooting using command line and GUI for Juniper Netscreen firewalls /
ASA.
- Consult with Sungard clients to get their requirements and provide network
solutions.
- As per requirements, do Network Design on client Networks.
- Document all new changes using Visio.
-Responsible for developing logical network engineering design for clients.
-Plan and Implement Metro Ethernet Networks, including development of
configurations.
-Maintaining and assist with implementation of metro network hardware
including switches (foundry Netiron / Fastiron & Cisco switches).
-Plan and Implement CiscoACS for authentication of network equipment.
-Responsible for testing network equipment with RFC2544 using Spirent
Test center / JDSU Traffic Generator.
-Responsible for setting up Virtual private LAN service (VPLS) to provide
Ethernet based multipoint to multipoint communication over IP/MPLS network.
-Responsible for logical designing & configuring Cisco 12000 GSR’s to provide
Internet services to clients.
-Responsible for maintaining / configuring routing protocols, including OSPF in
internal IP backbone, and BGP to advertise client’s Autonomous system number
to higher ISP’s (e.g.: Level3, AboveNet ).
-Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network topology,
equipment and configuration.

-Responsible for addressing customer issue related to Cisco LAN Switching.
-Knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco Catalyst OS.
-Experience with setting up Vlans, Trunking & SPAN/RSPAN.
-Working knowledge of setting up all types of line cards on 6500.
-Knowledge of using Network Sniffing tools such as Ethereal.
-Experience of troubleshooting Spanning Tree / Ether Channel issue on
production networks.
