My undergraduate degree, projects and internship introduced me to the wonderful world of automation and its challenging future. Captivated, I am interested in broadening my knowledge on the recent developments at industrial level so as to be able to become an integral part of this ever evolving industry and be a building block of futuristic concepts. Throughout my undergraduate education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, I have tried to explore various fields and gain insight about diverse subjects as much as possible. I realized that experimentation is the best way to prune one’s choices and make informed decisions. With the help of various courses and projects, I have developed a keen interest on the field of electronics and Telecommunication. I was strong in my core subjects like network theory, Electro-mechanical energy conversion, Control systems and so on, although my elective subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Neural networks and Fuzzy logic and Robotics integrated both Software and hardware knowledge, which fascinated me immensely. My interest in these have motivated me to study and perform well in related projects and courses and has led to heightened research aptitude. Automation really interested me. The lucidity and creativity to become an engineer dedicated towards achieving a more comfortable world fascinated me. It made me realize how much one could achieve if one managed to master a certain set of variables. I believe that knowledge of any subject is incomplete without the knowledge of its applicability. Curriculum related projects and industrial training at Honeywell gave me ample opportunities to broaden my knowledge base. My first project was on a simple bread board “Buzzer Circuit” for VIT's annual fair event. Later on, I and my partner made a “Universal Remote for Home Appliances”. Owing to our excellent knowledge, analytical and logical skills we got the opportunity to intern at Honeywell, Bangalore. As part of my final year project, I was assigned the Building Maintenance Project of Tata Consultancy Services building in Bangalore by Honeywell. Here, I had opportunity to learn about automation of doors boom bars, maintenance of security, operational cameras and access card validation. During this endeavor, I experienced the joy of making an impact, by doing things independently as well as in a team and in a smarter way. I also worked at Sys-com in Dubaifor 5 weeks mainly designing, integrating and testing MCB's, simple to complex PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) circuit panels. Here we used number software provided by Allen Bradley and Wago to design the circuit panel. I learnt how to code a PLC and test a full-fledged PLC panel. Through campus placement I joined Cognizant Technology Solution as a Programmer Analyst, a leading software company that provides software development, software support and software testing for its customers. My first project was to design a website application in Visual Studio, using C# language in a team of 5 fresher’s. We were given a month to create a database from scratch, design the ASPX pages, and test the different functionalities asked by the business. Although it was a big project, we completed the project successfully and were placed immediately to our preferred locations (Pune). I later worked with Barclays account for a year and half in Microfocus software Migration and Upgrade project . I got the opportunity to work on software like Autosys, Rapid SQL, Beyond compare etc. I am currently working, with Wellpoint account in Production Support. I work with mainly C#, Visual basic language, UNIX, SQL. To enhance my technical skills, I underwent training and certification courses in Asp.net, Ado.net, SQL, C, C++, C#, HTML,WCF(Windows communication foundation) along with Level 0 for working in Banking and Financial services sector.
