Role: Responsible for the management of supply chain activities for the Rustenburg Base
Metal Refinery Plant, Critical Surge Capacity upgrade and Bulk Acid Tank Storage
Capacity upgrade.

Duties:
• Overseeing projects on a strategic, financial and operational basis from initial design stages to project completion.
• Ensuring progress on projects according to budget, programs and set time.
• Maintaining contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, contractual changes and other documents on all projects.
• Providing guidance on contract matters to site managers or other operational staff. Ensuring that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness and interpretation to support implementation.
• Contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Ensuring that all man hours are properly planned as well as motivating the project teams

1. The rehabilitation extension of a port
2. Port and Marine Infrastructure that is, the construction of two stock yards and two stacker re-claimers, dump stations and conveyor belt system, ship loaders and works.
3. The construction of high-rise accommodation blocks
4. The construction and rehabilitation of approximately 200km of railway line, marshalling yards and 3 bridges.
5. Bulk Earthworks
6. Construction of access and service roads
7. Construction of infrastructure for a Green field iron ore mine

Duties:
• Setting up of horizontal and vertical control stations and checking their integrity.
• Managing day to day survey activities and supervising contractors.
• Reviewing survey contractor’s reports
• Setting out profiles and grades on roads for monthly maintenance work
• Setting out profiles and grades for controlling levels for the railroad and road layers.
• Track surveys and assisting with data for tamping purposes.
• Topographic surveys for design purposes.
• Volume and area calculations, reducing tachometry and producing 3Ds, DTMs using Civil 3D, Civil Designer or Model Maker
• Setting out blast patterns as per design specifications
• Deformation and settlement monitoring of slips, rail platforms, tanks and structures.
• Cross sections and long section generation

Duties:
• Ensuring that all contractual obligations are met during construction.
• Supervising the setting out of roads, structures and pipes, (sewage and water pipes)
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Liaising with client and their representatives (architects, engineers, surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
• Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors and writing detailed reports
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site as well as ensuring that regulations are adhered to

Duties:

• The execution of engineering surveys in the form of topographic and utility mapping, road and pipeline setting-out as well as control surveys on construction projects.
• GPR surveys for underground utilities analysis and mapping.
