I. Implement Oracle JDE Enterprise One (ERP) Application at Premium Vegetable Oils Sdn. BHD at Johor, Malaysia
II. Facilitate full Supply Chain and Manufacturing Cycle having a multinational operation with ERP Application.
III. Prepare Product specifications for Manufacturing and Supply Chain product areas and work with the Software Engineers to deliver quality solutions for JDE.
IV. Handle User trainings and prepare user manuals for the end users in related business functions.
V. Prepare System Masters related to Sales, Procurement and Manufacturing business areas and standard system masters.
VI. Handle First Level user support for Distribution / Supply Chain users (Procurement Handling, Warehouse Management, Operations Management including Shipping Documentation).
Participate in the strategic management meetings to formulate the business strategy together with the marketing and operational strategy.
i. Participate in Strategic Planning Meetings of the organization for making operational, marketing and business strategy of the company.
ii. Plan and execute the divisional plan according to the deliverables in development and implementations.
iii. Participate in the weekly management meetings for discussing and planning operational matters.
iv. Oversee System backups and security of the servers.
v. Be responsible for the newly developing ERP solution (with Agile methodologies in .Net Platform) which is a cloud based solution and supports Tabs and Smart phone apps. Provide functional advice for Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Manufacturing module developments.
vi. Involve in pre sales activities and Client Handling, and customer support activities
vii. Manage all the developments (.net) and implementation of business solutions (Tour Management system, Hotel Management system, Hospital Management system, School Management system etc) at PM capacity.
viii. Handle OpenERP partnership program and Lead the OpenERP implementation projects.
To Implement IFS Applications
To support the end users of IFS
i. Be Responsible to provide 1st line support service to internal IFS (ERP IFS) users in the organization for Financial, Distribution and Manufacturing modules and improve ERP utilization.
ii. Handling requirement studies for new Business systems (ERP and other) and prepare SRS (Software Requirement Specification) for the newly added subsidiaries of the group to develop IT systems internally.
iii. Provide 1st Line Support Service to internally developed ERP Systems (Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance modules) in group companies.
iv. Implement IFS Applications 7.5 to the Group Head Office mainly the Finance and Supply Chain modules.
v. Make sure to deliver Error free IT systems (non ERP) within the group, mainly the Petty Cash System for the whole group and POS System to cater more than 200 sales outlets. Propose modifications to maintain the ITIL practices in the systems.
vi. Handling the Trainings related to IT Systems (Functional training, Linux training) for all the levels of staff from the C level managers to the show room staff.
vii. Playing a major role in implementing ISMS (ISO27001) in the group IT Department.
viii. Be responsible for the BI Tool (QlikView), Involved in Sales and Purchased modules.
ix. Lead the team to Implement standards in in-house software developments and provide guidelines to process improvements.
x. Involve with network administration team to implement Palo Alto firewall and for taking backups in Oracle Database.
xi. Prepared the Team and required documentations to apply for National Best Quality Software Awards in Sri Lanka under in house developed category (won the GOLD medal for the system, TrackIT)
xii. Create Crystal Reports, Handle PL/SQL queries.
To Implement IFS Applications
To Support the IFS end users
Support Customers (Eg: SAAB Defense, Three Gorges project, General Electric etc) to achieve their corporate goals with the ERP application while improving their Productivity and other business goals, and handled a highly skilled team of consultants (about 25 including Sri Lankans and Swedish engineers) as the deputy team leader.
i. Be total responsible for the Quality Assurance of ERP Manufacturing and Distribution modules while maintaining the quality standards and monitoring the QA process through the SPC techniques.
ii. Played leadership roles for most of the Projects and testing programs with most qualified professionals in Sri Lanka, United States and Sweden.
iii. Handling the Customers Directly (as the Manufacturing queue leader) in Europe, Middle East and Africa to Assist them on Customization Projects related to core Application. Be adhering to project costing and each different customer agreements and respective time frames.
iv. Conducting Training programs and Mentoring new employees.
v. Provide Theoretical and Practical Knowledge Regarding Production Planning, Human resource Management Manufacturing, Costing, MRO, Inventory Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing Standards to Develop the Core IFS Application .
vi. Provide the related knowledge on lean Manufacturing Techniques like JIT, Kanban, Kizen Based Manufacturing etc. to Develop the Core Application .
Drive the shift with 15 lines having about 300 employees to a higher productivity while adhering to the customer requirements and labour standards and manufactured to the world’s leading customers like Victoria’s Secret, Marks & Spenser, VS Pink etc.
Plan and monitor the Production through ERP (SAP)
i. Improve Productivity.
ii. Coordinate with Planning and Merchandising departments to prepare the production plan.
iii. Balance the lines covering the absenteeism.
iv. Focus on Quality.
i. Implement 5S to the whole manufacturing plant (@ Kegalle Polytex Garments).
ii. Coordinate Pre-Production Meeting.
iii. Involve in Process Improvement Programs
iv. Prepare SMV detail of the garments
