o Assists in development, planning and implementation of all assessment in the field including examinations at schools, national, regional and international levels such as Monitoring of Learning Achievements (MLA), Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMMS) and reviews students' progress and achievements;
o Together with Professional Development and Curriculum Coordinators, and Quality Assurance Coordinators supports teachers and Education Specialists with good practices in assessment of students' achievement;
o Advises on the best practices on assessment including administering examinations and follow up on different aspects and forms of assessment;
o Maintains assessment standards at the field level and ensures that an up to date assessment process is implemented according to measuring tools;
o Assists the supervisor in dealing with complaints and queries about assessment that take place at the field level such as the unified examinations, and any other forms of assessment;
o Provides the supervisor with up to date reports (periodic and annual) on the assessment process in terms of planning and implementation;
o Participates in collecting, organizing and analyzing different aspects of assessment related data in the field and identifies strengths and weaknesses for purposes of developing the teaching learning process;
· Assists the Head of Assessment in developing a comprehensive plan for the field including producing, disseminating and correcting unified exams and in other forms of assessment;
· Keeps up to date knowledge of assessment processes and systems in order to make the most effective use of various databases to improve students' achievements at UNRWA schools;
· Contributes to the professional development activities and works collegially with peers to improve his/her practices;
Responsible for the provision of technical support towards equitable inclusive quality education to all staff, monitor and support their professional development to enhance inclusive teaching and learning and promote safe and effective learning environment in schools
Supports schools and assists teachers directly through team/model, co-teaching (plan, teach, and evaluate to lesson with the teacher seeking assistance), and class room observation. Provides, explains, and demonstrates instructional resources and materials, and monitors the implementation of up-to-date equitable inclusive quality teaching methods and techniques at schools.
-Supports schools and teachers in continuing professional development and school-based teacher development programs, and advises on developing and implementing comprehensive, professional development plans that are aligned with teachers’ competencies, applying a coherent model of support, adult learning strategies and appropriate models of technical support and research based practices
Assists and advises the Head Teachers/School Principals in setting, implementing and evaluating their School Development Plan, and coordinates continuing professional development needs to enhance school ethos and ensures that the needs of the schools are met;
· Provides support in curriculum analysis and enrichment to meet the new curricular challenges and innovations and the different aspects of inclusive education and advises on identifying appropriate teaching and learning tools, materials and resources to ensure that the needs of all students, teachers and school are met;
