1. In charge of supervising the Mechanical Engineering discipline and the EPC Contractor in all aspects of design, equipment procurement, installation, construction, commissioning, and completions.
2. Ensures that technical requirements developed during EPC, such as project specifications, data sheets, procedures, and so on, fully comply with project requirements.
3. Provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor and facilitate mechanical engineering issue resolution in order to meet project objectives and milestones.
4. To carry out onshore piping fabrication and erection works such as material identification, coordination for welder qualification, inspection of site as per isometric, GAD, and P&ID, fabrication of pipe spool, organization of welding inspection, coordination for NDT, piping installation, preparation of as built drawing and test pack, preparation of mechanical punch list, hydro testing, Flange Management, and box up activities.
5. To assist with the construction of piping and pipelines in accordance with ASTM and ASME codes.
6. To assist in the pre-commissioning and commissioning of piping systems, including flange joint leak testing, air flushing, water flushing, and nitrogen purging.
7. Coordination of shutdown activities, including shutdown planning, estimation of manpower, machinery, materials, and equipment, coordination of the Permit To Work procedure with the client, and coordination of site preparation.
8. Preparation of construction method statements and procedures, such as piping fabrication procedures, piping installation and testing procedures, and equipment installation procedures.
9. Liaison with engineering (design team) to ensure that deliverables such as project materials and equipment meet construction standards.
10. Examine daily operational performance data and apply subject matter expertise to establish and synthesize in formation to provide and present insight for decision making in daily operational meetings. Isolate the causes and provide feedback on potential solutions such as resource prioritization, technical fixes, and so on.
11. Determines material specifications and inspection requirements, and organizes stage inspections as needed.
12. To study vendor manuals in order to monitor material delivery and ensure all material/equipment inspections are completed in accordance with vendor specifications.
13. Coordination of PE lined pipe line installation, stringing, lowering, testing, and commissioning activities.
14. Hold daily progress meetings with the heads of the concerned departments (civil, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning), and participate in weekly client meetings.
15. Reviewed project goals and objectives with project manager and design team on a daily basis.
