Consulting civil engineer provide expert advice on the design, planning and management of civil construction projects, covering all types of residential and commercial construction, particularly in the area of large, public infrastructure projects. He holds many key responsibilities in the planning and implementation of a construction project. He hired to plan, manage, supervise and even implement a project. A consultant engineer may simply be hired to provide advice on a particular element of a project. He plays vital role to complete the project.
I have planned and chalked out a work program for implementation of community physical infrastructure (CPI) projects in the selected geographical area. I have provided technical backstopping i-e technical & financial viability of the schemes/project. Ensured the environmental impacts of a proposed project or development, taking into account inter-related socio-economic, cultural and human-health impacts, both beneficial and adverse. I have Provided technical input in crafting the term of reference, BOQs, evaluation criteria of identification of scheme’s/Project location. I did qualification of contractor and technical and financial evaluation of the pre-qualified contractor’s proposals. I have prepared and vet the design, BOQ and estimate. I frequently visited the site to ensure the work quality according to designed monitoring tools and also witnessed the material testing on site and in laboratory. Addressed the issues and solve them technically on site. Reviewed daily and weekly reports which were submitted by contractor and shared it to client. I have checked invoices according to actual measurement of completed work at site. Prepared completion report of the project. I have ensured the SHE component of the project i.e. Safety, Health & environment.

•Supports the CSM in managing the district engineers (including their capacity assessment and training), Provides advice and technical support on all construction related procurement;
•Produces school site layouts for tender packages
•Conducts regular inspections of construction work.
•Works across multiple sites; and takes a ‘hands on’ approach on site when and where necessary.
•Supports the CSM to/by: Participating in the delivery of Introduction Cluster Training for PTC/SCs, DEOs and CCSIs; and coordinating the delivery of Humqadam Engineering technical assistance and capacity building interventions to all Customer segments.
•Supports CSM in accurate and timely activity based reporting as per project SOPs: weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.
•Supports CSM in providing informative, timely and effectively presented written reports/numerical data as required.
Ensures collection and analysis of weekly reports of senior site engineers
•Supports CSM to maintain the provincial project tracker
•Supports CSM in filing all project related documents
•Provides Reports to the CSM and to CPMU Islamabad.
•Assist in the development of designs of identified infrastructure schemes through contractor and cash for work.
•Assist Advisor construction to Design architectural and structural drawings, as well as create bills of quantity, material specifications lists, and other technical documentation related to design, cost estimation and implementation of the infrastructure grants.
•Will review the BOQ and Cost estimates for different identified schemes and SC Supported facilities (Schools & Health Centers).
•Will share the designs and cost estimates summaries of different grants in line to the allocated grant wise budget with Advisor Construction.
•Will monitor the on-going physical works; ensure quality and timely completion of work at site.
•Will ensure incorporation of cross cutting themes and organizational standards at the Field level.
•Finalization of bills of work done and submission to finance for payment.
•Will assist Advisor Construction and other ERRP staff in all matters related to the development and implementation of emergency and other rehabilitation program.
•Assist in the tracking of financial expenditure of all program funds in areas of responsibility.
•Maintain working relationships with local, district, provincial and regional governmental authorities.
•Provide regular written and oral reports regarding the status of projects to the Advisor Construction.
•Submit weekly schedule of construction activities and weekly reporting on progress.
•Support and assist Advisor Construction in data compilation.
•Comply with the requirements of Save the Children’s Child Protection Policy to ensure maximum protection for children.
•Visiting the flood effected health facilities and schools.
•Estimating the extent of damages.
•Design architectural and structural drawings, as well as create bills of quantity, material specifications lists, and other technical documentation related to design, cost estimation and implementation of the infrastructure grants.
•Prepare the BOQs and Cost estimates for different identified schemes and SC Supported facilities.
•Will share the designs and cost estimates summaries of different

•Execute the work against approved estimates or BOQs; ensure quality and timely completion of work at site.
•Finalization of bills of work done and submission to finance for payment.
•Maintain working relationships with local, district, provincial and regional governmental authorities.

•Comply with the requirements of Save the Children’s Child Protection Policy to ensure maximum protection for children.
•To assist the Chief Engineer to manage the implementation of Rollout Projects.
•To provide technical direction and advice as necessary within the project team to accomplish the project's technical specification and quality objectives.
•To perform the detailed project planning, resources, scheduling.
•Preparing the estimates and drawings of projects.
•Ensure the delivered material is according to specifications.
•Preparing all work orders of equipment maintenance through CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system)
•Will maintain the all hotel drawings and keep them up to date.
•Responsible for the timely maintenance of all equipment.
•Defines the Scope of Work & job description for all positions in the Implementation department.
•Any other task assigned by line manager.

•To ensure that the time estimating process is finished before scheduling which should also include the time estimates for quality control.
•Responsible for planning, controlling and monitoring and also managing and directing the assigned project resources to best meet project objectives.
•To control and monitor “triple constraints” i.e. project scope, time and cost (quality also) in managing competing project requirements.
•To collect metrics data (such as baseline, actual values for costs, Schedule, work in progress, and work completed) & reports on project progress and other project specific information to the Project Director.
