Testing of complete sequences using DCS and SIS, uses a variety of test and calibration equipment. Supervising erection works for the equipment inspected in order to meet the standards and procedures. Providing weekly and monthly reports to Client.

POSITION: Instrument Supervisor- Construction Phase
Main duties: - directing Subcontractor activities for instrument discipline, ensuring that Plant Construction works performed according to the erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract;
- prior to the start of works, checking the Supplier's material and technical documentation delivery schedule. Checking that the same is in line with Construction schedules and contractual commitments;
- checking that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay;
- checking that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same;
- preparing the non-conformity register for Subcontractor and co-ordinate non-conformity resolution;
- detecting any design errors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Superintendent to make the necessary changes;
- checking Subcontractors' work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval;
- managing vendor specialists;
- issuing RTQ (Request Technical Queries);
- doing red lines of drawings when it is necessary;
- attending walk downs prior to disciple acceptance identifying and reporting any 'hold points' & deficiencies;
- making recommendation regarding the Instrumentation issues;
- ensuring engineering quality and adherence to standards.
